14 New Proofs for King Li Shengtian of Khotan THE WESTERN REGIONS STUDIES. 0 Rong Xinjiang and Zhu Lishuang Abstract The discussions of the age and the kings of Khotan revealed events of Li Shengtian Visa Sambhava a king of Khotan in the 0th century from both Chinese official history books and paintings and superscriptions of Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes. However it was far away from an overall and systematic study. This paper based on these results and our latest researches intends to draw an outline of the King's life his name titles enthronement year reign titles contacts and marriage relation with Dunhuang dispatching missions to Later Jin and receiving title Dabao etc. Key words Dabao Khotan Kingdom Li Shengtian Guiyi Army of Shazhou Tongqing Tianxing Sogdian Traders' Activities in Gaochang Zhen Yanyan Abstract Based on unearthed documents from Turfan This paper discusses Sogdian merchants in Turfan in medieval period and their activities focusing on its size composition and trade method as well as their trip life and further explains the role of Turfan in the silk road trade and the Sogdian influence in Turfan. Key words Gaochang documents from Turfan Sogdian merchants trade life Questions about Longjia Tribe in Tang and Song Dynasties Lu Li Abstract Longjia tribe in Yanqi in Tang Dynasty submitted to Tibet after Tibet defeated Yanqi in Longwang chieftain of the tribe then presented himself before the Tibetan Zanpu and migrated to Hexi Corridor with some members of his tribe. According to the proto-tibetan document P. T. 089 from Dunhuang there was a Lung dor dmag pon i. e. migrated general Longjia in the government of Liangzhou military governor of Tibet. It should be an official of Tibet in charge of Longjia tribe in Liangzhou and Kanzhou. In Xizhou Yanqi and Liangzhou there lived Longjia till late Tang and the Five Dynasties. Afterwards the Longjia in Longyou area integrated themselves into native Tibetan tribes in Song Dynasty except the titles Long Longjia Longbu Longbo and the like.
