G257.2 Booklists Recommended to Freshmen in the Reading Promotion of University Libraries Wang Bo Peking University Library, Beijing 100871, China Abstract Based on Peking University Library s practice in training for freshmen and reading promotion, the present article points out that the booklist recommended to freshmen should be systematic and include three types. The first type of the booklist is about the history and state of the school, the second type aims to improve the comprehensive quality of freshmen, and the third type is on mental health. Some examples are given for each type and the reasons for recommending these booklists are expounded.
