Ms Zhao and her entourage visited Yang Jia Wei Primary School in Liao Ning, a province of North-East China this previous Autumn on the 9th September 2015. On behalf of EtonHouse, Ms Zhao donated a total of 3,000 SGD (From Mid-Autumn Festival 2014 GET TOGETHER NIGHT) for the purpose of building a Love Library, revamping teaching resources and equipment as well as preparing additional school supplies for the children. Ms Zhao articulated the IB s educational philosophy and mission of developing caring and responsible young people to create a better world. This donation demonstrated how EtonHouse embodied the spirit of IB learner profile through action and service. Rooted in a strong sense of purpose, Ms Zhao also emphasized the value of reading, especially for young children. There are many ways to expand children s world of knowledge and the love of reading is the best of all. A book is a dream that they can hold in their hands where their imagination can soar freely. It is our hope that all the children in Ying Jia Wei Primary School can benefit from this educational aid charity initiative. Last but not least, Ms Zhao placed her hope on children in China; she wished for Yang Jia Wei Primary School to strive and children who graduate from this school can grow up to be contributing members of society who can make a difference to the world. The teachers and versatile children of Ying Jia Wei Primary School showcased their talents through stunning performances to express their heartfelt gratitude. With children s laughing and cheering, sweet memories were created. This educational aid charity initiative had finally drawn to a successful end, but our mission to help people in need will not stop. Let EtonHouse and you continue to pass on our love and care to the community hand in hand! Once again thank you to all parents and staff of EtonHouse Broadrick for the great success of this activity in view of your love and dedication! - 4 -
