An Inquiry Into the Life Meaning of Patients with Breast Cancer Abstract This thesis aims to explore how issues such as career, life and death are percieved in breast cancer patients. The research used a phenomenological method, with a semi-structured interview on a sample of ten female breast cancer patients. The interview content was analyzed using the Collaizzi (1987) method. Four themes identified by the research are 1. Impact on life, including illness implications such as therapy and rehabilitation. Patient exactly know the Illness feeling until introspect one-self immediately. Face kinds of cure process rehabilitation and recurrence shock, body image change. Into the life meaningseparate is the meaning of life, the target of life, the reason of exist and the meaning of suffering pain. 2. Achieve develop task. Seperate is young adulthood intimate relation / friend, family. middlesceneactively join and contributively oneself / family, colleague. 3. Another new sight at life include renew life of sensible experienceattitude toward life and change their value. In the patient support and heart by heart experience share. 4.Arrange to plan schedule of life the life reviewmaintain placid lives, maintain life honour, able thanks-giving and cherishing. To explain uncomplete affairs, not to be regretful. For sublimating of life, express one-self to treat the view of death. And hope funeral.
The research results indicate that nurses should attend to each client as a unique person and should have time to listen to patients views on life. Strengthen to develop education, and all people life and death educated, able to unperturbed expression treat the view of life and death personally. For example to prepare the will of dead person, and to make a good ending for your life.
