D epartm ent of Land R esource M anagem ent, J ilin A gricultural U niversity, Changchun 130118, China Abstract: The comparison of Dayangshu Basin w ith Songliao B asin and its other western basins show s that they have sim ilar filling sequence and tectonic evolution history, which indicates all these small basins m ay be the parts of Songliao B asin. A certain scale oilfield has been found in Lujiabao dep ression, and favorable hydrocarbon source rocks were found in deep part of the Dayangshu Basin. The fact shows that these basins along with the west2 ern edge of the Songliao Basin have better hydrocarbon potential, and the Dayangshu Basin is one of the best petro2 leum foreground areas.
