It is incorporating CDP data into their internal investment data platform It will allow portfolio managers to identify whether companies are meeting their expectation with regards to climate change risk management, reporting, and performance, and compare data across time, and across relevant peers Each portfolio manager can form an opinion about the significance and relevance of the information for the companies they cover NBIM produced a framework for assessing companies relative to climate change risk based on their own weighting. It considers indicators on governance structure, risk assessment, strategy, implementation, reporting, and performance

45 Buy Side - Exclusion Pax World uses CDP data extensively to identify both leaders and laggards among potential investments. We believe responding fully and publicly to the CDP survey is one of the characteristics of best-in-class companies, and company answers to survey questions also help to paint a more complete picture of the degree to which companies understand their vulnerability to climate-related risks and the business opportunities presented by climate change. We also use CDP information as a parameter in avoiding companies that are laggards, who are either unaware of climate-related risks and opportunities or choose not to inform their investors of this information. In particular, Pax tends to avoid investing in companies that are significant emitters of greenhouse gases and that have not responded to the CDP, particularly if they have failed to respond many times.

Responses from these companies will be analysed and included in the Asia ex-japan report. 93 companies are in the Emerging Markets 800 sample. No report is published about this sample, but information reported by these companies is used by investors & used in calculating the S&P/IFCI Carbon Efficient Index. Water (Investor request): 3 companies in CDP s global water sample Forests (Investor request): 7 companies in CDP s global forests sample Climate Change & Water (Supply Chain requests) to be sent next week (2 April).
