Anime Nere is the story of three brothers the sons of shepherds with ties to the ndrangheta and their divided souls. Luigi, the youngest, is an international drug dealer. Rocco, Milanese by adoption, is to all appearances a middle-class businessman, thanks to his cousin s ill-gotten gains. Luciano, the eldest, harbours a pathological fantasy of pre-industrial Calabria and engages in lonely, melancholy dialogue with the dead. His twenty-year-old son Leo belongs to the lost generation, who have no identity. The only thing Leo has inherited from his ancestors is resentment and for him, the future is a train that has already left the station. After a trivial argument, he carries out an act of intimidation against a bar protected by a rival clan. Anywhere else, it would have been dismissed as nothing more than youthful foolishness. But not in Calabria, and especially not in Aspromonte. Instead, it is the spark that lights the fire. For Luciano, it is a return to the drama many years after the murder of his father. In a dimension suspended between the distant past and modern life, the characters are driven towards the archetypes of tragedy.

A number of people in Italy has been asked to send videos made with any device (videocamera, smartphone, photo camera) during the 24 hours of October 26, Desires, dreams, fears, remarks, anything believed of importance occurred that day or, also, simply what could be seen by looking out of the windows. Italy in a Day consists of 44,197 videos received, that is 2,200 hours of images, 632 edited videos, a team of 40 selectors organized by editors Massimo Fiocchi and Chiara Griziotti. Italy in a Day is an emotional diary, a census of the emotions and the thoughts of the Italians, a secular confession, the wish to share one s feelings, an Italian psychodrama, some times tender, others angry or funny or desperate. In the digital communication era of the instant sharing and the hyper power of images, Italy in a Day is the first Italian experiment of a communal film in which the narration (both images and thoughts) is supplied by anybody wants to while the setup of the story is entrusted to professionals (editors, musicians and director). In 2008, Benedetto Habib joined Indiana as financial director. Indiana has produced twelve feature films, two television movies, and countless commercial campaigns. Indiana produced some of the best films by Virzì, such as Human Capital and La Prima Cosa Bella, which was selected as Italy s official entry to the 2011 Academy Awards for Best Foreign Film and was sold in more than 40 coutnries. On September 2014, was released Italy in a Day, directed by Oscar Winner Gabriele Salvatores, premiering at the 71 Biennale di Venezia. In 2012, Indiana executive produced a new feature film version of Romeo & Juliet, with global stars like Paul Giamatti. The project was a Co-Production between Italy, UK, and US, and served as the perfect example of Indiana s expertise and penchant for creating quality product that reaches people around the world.
