9 ES-RT84 充电状态指示灯 ( 红灯 ) 点亮 随着充电的进行, 电池电量指示灯变亮 ES-RT84 充电时 ES-RT74 充电状态指示灯 ( 红灯 ) 点亮 充电完成后 ES-RT74 使用电源适配器充电 1. 将电源线插头插入本体电源线插孔 2 2. 将电源插头插入家用电源插座里 充电前请关闭剃须刀电源 给电池充电 1 小时以上不会影响电池性能 1 3. 完成充电后应断开电源适配器 剃须 1. 按下电源开关, 选择所需的剃须模式 每次按下电源开关时, 剃须模式按照 速剃模式 柔剃模式 停止 变化 剃须模式速剃模式柔剃模式停止 推荐用户 适合胡须浓密的用户 适合胡须较少或肌肤较为敏感的用户 - 中文 所有电池电量指示灯均会充电状态指示灯熄灭 在 5 秒后熄灭 充电的推荐环境温度为 10 至 35 摄氏度 在温度过低或过高的条件下, 电池性能可能会下降或无法充电 充电故障时充电状态指示灯 ( 红灯 ) 将会闪烁 购买后初次使用或半年以上未使用过, 充电状态指示灯 ( 红灯 ) 可能不会立即亮, 继续充电几分钟后即正常 6. 完成充电后应断开电源适配器 在洗净液盒移除的情况下洗净器也可为剃须刀充电 操作方法 - 柔剃 - 亮灯表示无亮灯表示柔剃模式亮灯柔剃模式熄灭 2. 如右图所示握住剃须刀剃须 轻轻地压向面部开始剃须 用另一只手绷紧脸上皮肤, 逆着胡须生长方向来回移动剃须刀 当皮肤适应剃须刀之后您可以稍稍加大压力, 但施加压力过大就可能会造成皮肤伤害 9

11 清洁剃须刀 使用洗净器清洁准备洗净器移除洗净器中的剃须刀和电源适配器 1 将洗净器水平放置 当洗净器未水平放置或放在软垫上时, 锁定释放杆有可能无法完全插入从而导致不能正常取出洗净液盒 2 按下洗净液盒取出按钮, 取出洗净液盒 3 倒掉剩余的洗净液, 并冲洗洗净液盒 清洗后请不要忘记安装洗净滤网架 4 倒入自来水和清洁剂至注水线 不要让自来水超过注水线 这可能会导致洗净液溢出 将洗净液盒放入洗净器内 如果洗净液洒出来的话请立即擦拭干净 请勿让洗净液洒落在皮革或木地板上, 否则可能导致褪色 6 将洗净器上部按下直到听到咔嚓一声 1 2 洗净液 ( 清洁剂 + 水 ) 的更换和使用 开始清洁后水和清洁剂会混合成为洗净液 当按下选择按钮时, 如果无法选择 自动程序 或状态灯 ( 点检 ) 长亮 ( 约 5 秒 ) 时, 请更换洗净液 洗净液每更换一次约可使用 30 次左右 但因胡须浓密度和周围温度的不同有差异 洗净液有效期为 6 个月 放置 6 个月后请更换洗净液 仅使用专为 Panasonic 剃须刀配制的清洁剂 必须同时更换清洁剂和水 若只加水的话将导致清洁功能变差 清洗剃须刀 若用洗手液或任何其它清洁剂洗过剃须刀, 请清除剃须刀上残留的任何洗手液或水渍 1 将电源线插头与洗净器连接 2 抬高本体连接插头直到听到咔嚓一声 3 取下保护盖, 然后将剃须刀插入洗净器 4 将本体连接插头接入本体直至听到咔嚓一声 5 将电源插头插入家用电源插座 装载前请关闭剃须刀电源 装载前请确认剃须刀外刀网无变形或破损 中文 11

14 中文 清洁洗净器 修剪下来的胡须屑可能会附着在洗净器托盘里 请按照以下步骤清除胡须屑 建议每次更换洗净液时同时完成此事 1 拔出电源线插头, 取出洗净液盒 注意请勿将洗净液洒落 某些清洁液成分可能使皮肤油脂分离后附着在洗净液盒或洗净液滤网架上 这属于正常情况 2 如图前倾洗净液盒用流水完全冲洗洗净液盒四周 洗净滤网架也可拆下清洗 洗净滤网架清洗后, 请勿忘记重新装载 3 使用湿布或面巾纸轻轻拭去任何附着在洗净器托盘里的胡须屑 使用沾水的棉签清洁洗净器托盘的四角和不平之处 排水口堵塞的处理方法修剪下来的胡须屑可能会堵塞洗净器托盘底部的排水口 在这种情况下您将无法使用清洁和干燥功能 请用牙签疏通排水口的堵塞物 牙签洗浄液排水口将胡须屑疏通到洗净液盒内 故障排除洗净器 故障 纠正措施 如果超过 2 周未清洁剃须刀的话, 首先请用小刷子清洁刀头内部的胡渣 ( 参阅第 13 页 ) 更换洗净液时, 请勿在原有洗净液的基础上添加清洁剂或刀头未彻底洗净 水 否则可能导致清洁功能变差 ( 参阅第 11 页 ) 清洁后油状液滴可能会附着在外刃架上 此乃洗净液含有的润滑成分, 并非产品问题 您可以用软布擦拭干净 状态灯 ( 点检 ) 点亮 参阅第 16 页 确保电源适配器和洗净器相连接, 并且电源插头完全插入家用电源插座 ( 参阅第 8 页 ) 确保剃须刀和洗净器正确连接 ( 参阅第 8 页 ) 模式无法启动 在极端低温的环境 (0 度或以下 ) 下清洁和烘干功能可能无法正常工作 检查状态灯 ( 点检 ) 是否点亮 ( 参阅第 16 页 ) 14

15 故障 纠正措施 故障 纠正措施 洗净液附着在洗净器托盘上 无法取出洗净液盒 洗净器声音过大 剃须刀无法充电 清除掉遗留在洗净器托盘底部的污物 ( 参阅第 14 页 ) 如果在剃须刀潮湿或剃须刀上附有肥皂, 啫喱的情况下使用洗净器, 洗净液可能会积聚在洗净器托盘上 确保洗净器水平放置 当洗净器未水平放置或放在软垫上时, 锁定释放杆有可能无法完全插入从而导致无法取出洗净液盒 清洁时 : 洗净器在清洗刀头时可能会发出比较大的声音 此问题非产品问题 用布或纸巾沾水轻轻擦拭洗净器的本体连接插头 洗净液起泡 洗净液从洗净液盒中漏出 洗净器无法给剃须刀进行充电 如果剃须刀上残留有肥皂水或洗手液, 或者洗净器使用了其它清洁剂的话, 洗净液可能会起泡 请更换洗净液并用流水充分冲洗剃须刀且风干后再使用洗净器 更换洗净液 在模式启动过程中请勿按下洗净液盒取出按钮 确保洗净器水平放置 当剃须刀潮湿或剃须刀上附着有肥皂或胡须啫喱的情况下使用洗净器时, 洗净液可能会漏出 推荐使用环境温度为 15 至 35 摄氏度 中文 刀头潮湿 在环境温度过低时刀头可能无法快速烘干 再次启动 自动程序 或剃须前用软布擦干 清洁过程中刀头破损或变形 请勿在洗净器内放入不相干的物品 更换外刀网和内刀头 ( 参阅第 13 页 ) 15

If you clean the shaver with water, do not use salt water or hot water. Do not soak the shaver in water for a long period of time. Clean the housing only with a soft cloth slightly dampened with tap water or soapy tap water. Do not use thinner, benzine, alcohol or other chemicals. Store the shaver in a place with low humidity after use. Do not store the shaver or detergent where it will be exposed to direct sunlight or other heat sources. The self-cleaning recharger cleans the inner blades and the system outer foil. Brush or wash with water to remove beard trimmings in other areas. 27 Using the protective cap When carrying the shaver, the protective cap may be used to protect the outer foil and prevent switch misoperation. Clean the beard debris before installing the protective cap. Attaching the protective cap Attach the protective cap as illustrated. Securely attach the protective cap to the main unit. Removing the protective cap Remove the protective cap by pressing the both sides Charge The charging time is approx. 1 hour. A full charge will supply enough power for approx. 21 shaves of 3 minutes each. (This will differ depending on usage.) Charging using the self-cleaning recharger Thoroughly wipe off any drops of water on or around the self-cleaning recharger so that it is dry before charging the shaver Insert the appliance plug into the selfcleaning recharger. Pull up the charging terminal until it clicks. Remove the protective cap and then attach the shaver. Turn the shaver off before attaching. 28 English 5 Plug in the adaptor into a household outlet. The Charge mode starts when attaching the shaver. Check that the charge status lamp (red) glows. The charging time may decrease depending on the charging capacity. While charging ES RT84 ES RT74 Recommended ambient temperature for charging is C. The battery may not charge properly or not at all under extreme low or high temperatures. The charge status lamp (red) will blink when there is a problem with charging. When charging the shaver for the first time or when it has not been in use for more than 6 months, the charge status lamp (red) may not glow. It will eventually glow if kept connected for several minutes. Disconnect the adaptor after 6 charging is completed. The appliance can be charged even with the cleaning liquid unit removed. The charge status lamp (red) glows. The number of the battery capacity lamp will increase as charging progresses. The charge status lamp (red) glows. After charging is completed ES RT84 ES RT74 The battery capacity lamp 100 will light up and then turn off after 5 seconds. The charge status lamp will turn off. Stretch your skin with your free hand and move the shaver back and forth in the direction of your beard. You may gently increase the amount of pressure as your skin becomes accustomed to this shaver. Applying excessive pressure does not provide a closer shave. Using alternating current for shaving If you insert the appliance plug to the shaver and power plug in the adaptor into a household outlet, you can use it even if the battery capacity is low. If the shaver can not be normally used, please use after charging it for about 1 minute. Using the trimmer Slide the trimmer handle up to open the trimmer. Place the trimmer at a right angle (90 degree) to your skin and move downwards to trim your sideburns. Notes Place your finger on the finger rest while in use. 30 English Do not use shaving creams or face cleansers containing scrubbing compounds as these may cause the outer foil to clog. We recommend using the shaver in an ambient temperature range of 5 35 C. If used outside this range, the appliance may stop operating. Reading lamps when using While using ES RT84 ES RT74 Approximate amount of battery charge is displayed as It will turn off approximately 5 seconds after operating the switch. The charge status lamp (red) will glow when using the alternating current for shaving. When the battery capacity is low ES RT84 20 blinks when operating the shaver. 31 Clean Cleaning using the self-cleaning recharger Preparing the self-cleaning recharger Remove the shaver and the appliance plug from the self-cleaning recharger. Place the self-cleaning recharger on a hard, flat 1 surface. When the self-cleaning recharger is lifted, or on the soft surface such as carpets, the lock release lever will not fit in the recharger properly. In that case, the cleaning liquid unit cannot be removed. Press the cleaning liquid unit 2 removal button and remove the cleaning liquid unit. 3 4 Wash away the old cleaning liquid and beard trimmings and then rinse the cleaning liquid unit. After washing, be sure to attach the cleaning liquid filter. Pour tap water and detergent into the cleaning liquid unit. Do not let the water rise above the maximum water line. This may cause the cleaning liquid to spill. 5 6 Attach the cleaning liquid unit. Immediately wipe up any cleaning liquid that has been spilt. Be careful not to drop cleaning liquid onto leather products or wooden floors as it may cause discoloration. Press the top of the self-cleaning recharger down and securely attach until it clicks. Notes The water and detergent will mix after cleaning begins, making cleaning liquid. If AUTO mode cannot be selected or the CHECK lamp glows for 5 seconds when the SELECT button is pressed, the cleaning liquid needs to be replaced. Replace the cleaning liquid. When replaced, the cleaning liquid will last for approximately 30 days if used once per day. (This will differ depending on beard thickness and the ambient temperature.) Use the detergent within approximately 6 months after opening the package. When 6 months have passed, discard the cleaning liquid, and then pour new water and detergent into the cleaning liquid unit. Replace the water and detergent at the same time. Otherwise the cleaning function may deteriorate. 32 English Cleaning the shaver Remove any soap or water on the shaver if it has been washed with hand soap or any other detergent Insert the appliance plug into the self-cleaning recharger. Pull up the charging terminal until it clicks. Remove the protective cap and then attach the shaver. Push down the charging terminal until it clicks. Plug in the adaptor into a household outlet. Turn the shaver off before attaching. Check that the outer foil is not deformed or damaged when you are attaching the shaver. Press the SELECT button to select the mode. 6 The Charge mode starts when attaching the shaver. Each time you press the SELECT button, the mode changes from AUTO Charge. The modes start approximately 6 seconds after they are selected. The mode will be aborted if the power is cut off. In this case, perform the mode again from the beginning. Do not press the cleaning liquid unit removal button as the cleaning liquid may spill causing a malfunction. 33 Cleaning the shaver without the self cleaning recharger 1. Disconnect the cord from the shaver. 2. Apply some hand soap and some water to the system outer foil. 3. Turn the shaver on. 4. Turn off the shaver after 10 to 20 seconds. 5. Remove the outer foil section. 6. Clean the shaver and the outer foil section with running water. 7. Wipe off any drops of water with a dry cloth. 8. Dry the outer foil section and the shaver completely. 9. Attach the outer foil section to the shaver. The mark on the left is for a washable shaver and indicates it can be cleaned with water. Warning Disconnect the cord from the shaver before cleaning it in water to prevent electric shock. Drying the shaver with the self-cleaning recharger 1. Attach the outer foil section to the shaver. 2. Dry the shaver with self-cleaning recharger using AUTO mode. Cleaning with the brush Cleaning with the long brush Clean the system outer foil (a), the shaver body (b) and the trimmer (c) using the long brush. Cleaning with the short brush Clean the inner blades using the short brush by moving it in direction (A). 35 Cleaning the self-cleaning recharger Beard trimmings may become attached to the cleaning tray of the self-cleaning recharger. Follow the steps below to remove them. We recommend doing this each time you change the cleaning liquid. 1. Be sure to remove the cleaning liquid unit and the appliance plug from the self-cleaning recharger. Be careful not to spill the cleaning liquid. Some cleaning liquid components and skin oil may separate and adhere to the cleaning liquid unit and cleaning liquid filter. This does not indicate a problem. 2. Pour water as illustrated while tilting the cleaning liquid unit and shaking it gently. You can clean with the cleaning liquid filter removed. After washing, be sure to attach the cleaning liquid filter. 3. Gently wipe off any beard trimmings attached to the inside of the cleaning tray with a cloth or tissue paper dampened with water. Clean the corners and uneven parts of the cleaning tray with a cotton swab dampened with water. When the water does not drain from the cleaning tray Beard trimmings may clog the drain at the bottom of the cleaning tray. In this case, you cannot clean or dry the shaver. 36 English Troubleshooting Self-cleaning recharger Problem The blade has not been thoroughly washed. The CHECK lamp glows. Action If the shaver is not cleaned for more than 2 weeks, first clean with the cleaning brush to remove beard trimmings. (See page 33.) Do not add detergent and water except when replacing the cleaning liquid. Doing so may deteriorate the cleaning function. (See page 31.) After cleaning, oil-like droplets may remain on the outside of the foil frame. This is the lubricating component of the cleaning liquid and does not indicate a problem. You may wipe it off with a soft cloth. See page 39. Problem The mode does not start. Cleaning liquid has accumulated in the cleaning tray. Action Check that the AC adaptor is connected to the selfcleaning recharger, and that the recharger is plugged in to a household outlet. (See page 33.) Confirm that the shaver is properly attached to the self-cleaning recharger. (See page 33.) The Clean or Dry operation may not function under extreme low temperatures (approx. 0 C or lower). Check if the CHECK lamp glows. (See page 39.) Remove any waste, etc. that has accumulated in the drain at the bottom of the cleaning tray. (See page 35.) If the problems still cannot be solved, contact the store where you purchased the unit or a service center authorised by Panasonic for repair. Battery life The life of the battery is 3 years if charged approximately once every three weeks. The battery in this shaver is not intended to be replaced by consumers. Have the battery replaced by a service center authorized by Panasonic for repair. Removing the built-in rechargeable battery Remove the built-in rechargeable battery before disposing the appliance. Please make sure that the battery is disposed of at an officially designated location if there is one. This figure must only be used when disposing the appliance, and must not be used to repair it. If you dismantle the shaver yourself, it will no longer be waterproof, which may cause it to malfunction. Remove the shaver from the AC adaptor. Press the power switch to turn on the power and then keep the power on until the battery is completely discharged. Perform steps 1 to 6 and lift the battery, and then remove it.
