17 使用清洁刷清洁 拆下外刀部和内刀头 ( 参见本页 ) 使用长刷清洁用长刷清洁外刀部 外刀网 剃须刀本体和修剪刀 使用短刷清洁 使用短刷, 沿右图所示的移动方向移动, 清洁内刀头 请勿将短刷垂直贴着刀头移动, 否则会损坏内刀头而影响刀片的锋利度 更换外刀网和内刀头指示灯显示屏上的每年显示一次 ( 按每天剃须 3 分钟计算 ) 当此信号开始显示时, 我们建议您检查本产品的外刀网和内刀头 按住电源开关 30 秒以上以清除标识 更换后, 即使不消失, 它也会在约 7 次使用内自动消失 外刀网内刀头 每年一次每两年一次 取出外刀部按下外刃架释放按钮并向上提起取出外刀部 安装外刀部将外刃架 ( ) 标识转到前面以后, 把外刀部稳固地安装到剃须刀直至其到位 更换外刀网 1. 按下外刀网释放按钮, 拉出外刀网 2. 对齐外刃架 ( ) 标识和外刀网 ( ) 标识然后稳固地安装在一起, 直至其发出卡嗒声 请勿使用过大的力量按压外刀网释放按钮 否则可能造成外刀网弯曲, 无法完全安装到外刃架 更换内刀头 1. 取下内刀头, 一次取一个 2. 插入内刀头, 一次插入一个 注意请勿扔掉外刃架 17 中文 ES-LV9A_CH.indb /03/11 9:53:53

Doing so may deteriorate the waterproof rubber and degrade waterproof function, which may cause to malfunction. Store the shaver in a place with low humidity after use. 35 Preparation Charging the shaver Turn the shaver off. Wipe off any water droplets on the main body rear terminals. 1 Insert the appliance plug into the self-cleaning recharger. 2 Remove the protective cap while pressing the side of the cap and insert the shaver into the self-cleaning recharger. 1 Slowly insert the shaver into the self-cleaning recharger taking care not to damage the system outer foil. 3 Plug the adaptor into a household outlet. Check that the charge status lamp ( ) is glowing. Charging is completed after approx. 1 hour. 4 Disconnect the adaptor after charging is completed. While charging After charging is completed 2 3 Notes When charging the shaver for the first time or when it has not been in use for more than 6 months, the charging time may change or the charge status lamp ( ) may not glow for a few minutes. It will eventually glow if kept connected. Recommended ambient temperature for charging is C. It may take longer to charge, or the charge status lamp ( ) will blink quickly and the battery may fail to charge properly in extremely high or low temperatures. The shaver can be used for approximately 2 weeks with a full charge. 36 English Charging without the self cleaning recharger Wipe off any water droplets on the appliance socket. 1 Insert the appliance plug into the shaver. 2 Plug the adaptor into a household outlet. 3 Disconnect the adaptor after charging is completed. 1 Preparing the cleaning liquid Cleaning can start right after the usage by preparing in advance. (See page 39.) Remove the AC adaptor from the self cleaning recharger. 1 Press the cleaning liquid unit removal button (1) and remove the cleaning liquid unit (2) on a hard, flat surface. When the self cleaning recharger is lifted, or on the soft surface such as carpets, the lock release lever will not fit in the recharger properly. In that case, the cleaning liquid unit cannot be removed. 2 2 Pour tap water (1) and detergent (2) into the cleaning liquid unit. Be careful not to let the water rise above the maximum water line (a). Pour the entire packet of detergent. 3 Slowly insert the cleaning liquid unit into the self cleaning recharger until it clicks. Notes To replace the cleaning liquid, see page 43. Only use self cleaning recharger detergent for Panasonic shavers. Not doing so may cause malfunction or failure. Do not tilt the self cleaning recharger. Doing so may cause spill or the number of days that cleaning liquid can be used reduce. 37 How to use Shaving beard 1 Press and shave. The shaving sensor, which automatically adjusts the power depending on the beard thickness, will operate. It will shave with high power on areas where the beard is heavy, and reduce the power on areas where the beard is thin, to reduce burden on the skin. The power cannot be turned on when the switch lock lamp ( ) blinks, as the power switch is locked. Press the power switch for more than 2 seconds to unlock. (See page 38.) Tips for better shaving Apply the whole system outer foil perpendicularly against the skin and shave by slowly gliding the shaver over the face against the grain of the beard. The beard under the chin and around the throat can be shaved better by stretching the skin so the beard will stand. To prevent damaging the system outer foil, do not shave with only a part of the system outer foil. 2 Press when finished. While using The used time and remaining battery capacity are shown and then turn off after 7 seconds. The shown time returns to [0 00 ] after 10 minutes. The shaving sensor lamp ( ) blinks. The charge status lamp ( ) glows when using cord shaving. After use The used time and remaining battery capacity blink alternately and then turn off after 8 seconds. 38 English Notes The appliance may not operate in an ambient temperature lower than approximately 5 C. Depending on the beard thickness or the amount of beard trimmings in the shaver head, the shaving sensor may not react and the driving sound may not change. This is not abnormal. To prevent erroneous operation, place your fi ngers on the fi nger rest while using the shaver. The sonic vibration cleaning mode is activated when the power switch is pressed for more than 2 seconds while the shaver is not operating (the switch lock is unlocked). (See page 40.) You cannot shave in this mode. Locking/unlocking the power switch Locking the power switch 1. Press once and then release. The shaver starts operating. 2. Press for more than 2 seconds. The switch lock lamp ( ) will light up for 5 seconds and turn off. The shaver will stop operating. 3. Release. Unlocking the power switch 1. Press for more than 2 seconds. The switch lock lamp ( ) will turn off. 2. Once the shaver starts operating, release. Cord shaving If you insert the appliance plug to the shaver and plug the adaptor into a household outlet, you can use it even if the battery capacity is low. If the shaver does not work, continue charging it for approx. 1 minute. The battery will be discharged even when using the shaver with the AC adaptor. The main unit neck section (a), inner blade attachment part (b), trimmer, system outer foil gaps, etc. cannot be cleaned with the self-cleaning recharger. Changing the mode of self-cleaning recharger The Charge mode starts when attaching the shaver, and the mode can be changed by pressing the SELECT button. Charge mode (Charge) AUTO mode (Clean/Dry/Charge) Notes Do not press the cleaning liquid unit removal button during cleaning as the cleaning liquid may spill causing a malfunction. The drying time may increase in an ambient temperature approximately 15 C or lower. The Clean or Dry function may not operate under extreme low temperatures (approximately 0 C or lower). A lubricant constituent is included in the detergent, so smooth shave is maintained without applying oil. 40 Dry/Charge mode (Dry/Charge) Cleaning thoroughly Cleaning with water Turn the shaver off and disconnect the AC adaptor. 1 Apply some hand soap and some water to the system outer foil. 2 Press for more than 2 seconds to activate the sonic vibration cleaning mode. Splashing of foam is suppressed. The battery capacity lamps blink in order. After about 20 seconds, it will be automatically turned off, or you can turn it off by pressing the power switch. 3 Remove the outer foil section and clean with running water. See page 42 for attaching and removing the outer foil section. Splashing is reduced by rinsing the shaver in sonic vibration cleaning mode. 41 4 Attach the outer foil section and dry with the self cleaning 1 recharger. 1. Insert the shaver into the 1 2 self cleaning recharger and plug the adaptor into a household outlet. Check that the charge status lamp ( ) is glowing. 2. Press twice. The DRY lamp glows, and the Dry/Charge mode will start after approximately 6 seconds. Apply one drop of oil to each of the system outer foils. 2. Raise the trimmer and apply a drop of oil. 3. Switch the shaver on, and run it for approximately fi ve seconds. 4. Switch off the shaver, and wipe off any excess oil from the system outer foil with a soft cloth. The mark on the left means suitable for cleaning under an open water tap. Warning Disconnect the cord from the shaver before cleaning it in water to prevent electric shock. Drying the shaver without the self cleaning recharger Allow the shaver to dry in the shade, avoid direct sunlight and then apply oil. Notes Be careful not to hit the main body on the sink or any other object while draining the water. Failure to do so may cause malfunction. Do not wipe with thinners, benzine, alcohol etc. Doing so may cause malfunction, or cracking or discoloration of the parts. Wipe with diluted soapy water. Do not use any kitchen or bathroom detergents other than hand soap. Doing so may cause malfunction. Do not use the self cleaning recharger while droplets or soap remain on the shaver. Doing so may change the concentration level or composition of the cleaning liquid in the cleaning liquid unit, which may degrade cleaning, sterilization, lubrication and drying performance. 42 English Cleaning with the brush Remove the outer foil section and the inner blades. (See this page.) Cleaning with the long brush Clean the outer foil section, system outer foil, the shaver body and the trimmer using the long brush. Cleaning with the short brush Clean the inner blades using the short brush by moving it in direction as illustrated. Do not move the short brush perpendicularly against the blades as it will damage the inner blades and affect their sharpness. Replacing the system outer foil and the inner blades appears on the lamp display once a year. (Based on one 3-minute shave use per day) We recommend checking the system outer foil and the inner blades when it appears. Press the power switch for more than 30 seconds to turn off. Even if is not turned off right after the replacement, it will automatically turn off within approximately 7 uses. system outer foil once every year inner blades once every two years 42 Removing the outer foil section Press the foil frame release buttons and lift the outer foil section upwards. Attaching the outer foil section After turning the foil frame mark ( ) to the front, securely attach the outer foil section to the shaver until it clicks. Replacing the system outer foil 1. Press the system outer foil release buttons and pull down the system outer foil. 2. Align the foil frame mark ( ) and the system outer foil mark ( ) and securely attach together until it clicks. Do not press the system outer foil release buttons with excessive force. Doing so may bend the system outer foil, preventing complete attachment to the foil frame. Replacing the inner blades 1. 43 Replacing the cleaning liquid If the CHECK lamp glows for 5 seconds when the SELECT button is pressed, the cleaning liquid needs to be replaced. Even if the CHECK lamp does not light up, replace the cleaning liquid after 6 months have passed. 1 Remove the AC adaptor and remove the cleaning liquid unit. (See page 36.) 2 Wash away the old cleaning liquid. It can be drained as sewage. 3 Rinse the cleaning liquid unit. Pour water as illustrated while tilting the cleaning liquid unit and shaking it gently. You can clean with the cleaning liquid filter removed. After washing, be sure to attach the cleaning liquid filter. 4 Gently wipe off any beard trimmings attached to the inside of the cleaning tray (a) with a cloth or tissue paper dampened with water. Clean the corners and uneven parts of the cleaning tray with a cotton swab dampened with water. 5 Prepare the new cleaning liquid. (See page 36.) 1 Notes The cleaning liquid will decrease every time it is used, but do not add detergent and water except when replacing the cleaning liquid. Doing so may deteriorate the cleaning function. Do not wash the self-cleaning recharger unit with water. Some cleaning liquid components and skin oil may separate and adhere to the cleaning liquid unit and cleaning liquid filter. This does not indicate a problem. When the water does not drain from the cleaning tray Do not tilt the self-cleaning recharger to pour out water. Doing so may cause the cleaning liquid in the cleaning liquid unit to spill or cause the self-cleaning recharger to malfunction. Beard trimmings may clog the drain at the bottom of the cleaning tray. In this case, you cannot clean or dry the shaver. 1. Be sure to remove the AC adaptor from the self-cleaning recharger. 2. 45 FAQ Question Why does Dry/ Charge mode take longer than AUTO mode? Can I refill the selfcleaning recharger with water when the cleaning liquid has decreased? Answer This is due to the difference in the drying time. The drying time for the Dry/ Charge mode is set longer as there may still be excess moisture on the areas other than the system outer foil after the shaver has been rinsed and cleaned with water. Do not refill with water as doing so may deteriorate the cleaning function. Replace the cleaning liquid. Question Can I charge the shaver after every use? Why should the adaptor be disconnected after use? What is the constituent of the dedicated oil and the detergent? Answer The battery used is a lithium-ion, so charging after every use will have no effect on battery life. Charging the battery for more than 1 hour will not affect battery performance, but disconnect the adaptor for safety and to save energy. Oil: Liquid paraffin Detergent: Non-ionic surfactant agent, antimicrobial agent, lubricant and fragrance. Can the self-cleaning recharger be used to wash other models? This self-cleaning recharger can only be used for the ES-LV9A model. Doing so may cause malfunction, so do not use with other models. The battery will deteriorate if not used for over 6 months, so make sure to perform a full charge at least once every 6 months. 46 English Troubleshooting Perform the following actions. If the problems still cannot be solved or all selfcleaning recharger s lamps blink, contact the store where you purchased the unit or a service center authorized by Panasonic for repair. Self-cleaning recharger Problem The blade has not been thoroughly washed. Action If the shaver is not cleaned for more than 2 weeks, first clean with the cleaning brush to remove beard trimmings. (See page 42.) Do not add detergent and water except when replacing the cleaning liquid. Doing so may deteriorate the cleaning function. (See page 43.) After cleaning, oil-like droplets may remain on the outside of the foil frame. This is the lubricating component of the cleaning liquid and does not indicate a problem. You may wipe it off with a soft cloth. Problem The blades are not dry or are sticky. The blades crack or deform during cleaning. The cleaning liquid has foamed. Action The blades may not dry quickly due to temperature conditions. Run the Dry/Charge mode again or wipe with a soft cloth before shaving. Do not insert any foreign objects into the recharger. Replace the system outer foil and/or inner blades. (See page 42.) If you mix soapy water or hand soap with the detergent or use another detergent, the cleaning liquid will foam. Do not press the cleaning liquid unit removal button during any mode. Place the self-cleaning recharger horizontally. If you use the self-cleaning recharger when the shaver is wet or when soap or shaving gel is on the shaver, cleaning liquid may leak. Place the self-cleaning recharger on a hard, flat surface. (See page 36.) Problem Action Check that the AC adaptor is connected to the selfcleaning recharger, and that the adaptor is plugged in to a household outlet. (See page 39.)
