SS-952B Instruction Manual Thanks for buying PRO SKIT SS-952B SMD Rework Station with vacuum pickup. Please read the user s manual carefully before using the product. 2. Display function description From left to right, that first digital indication: A. Stand for auto real-time measuring; b. Stand for the set temperature; The second, third and forth digital indicate the temperature degree, the six and seventh digital indicate the airflow in percentage; 3. Operating Instructions When connected power plug, the device starts to work, temperature display indicate A100 and air flow display indicate F15. After adjust temperature and air then begin to use. 3-1 Adjust Temperature (Up) Press C1 button to adjust temperature, after release the button, A100 will be indicate on the temperature display after 2 seconds star to heating and temperature rise. When temperature up to specified temperature, the heating element will stop to heating and keep the temperature, the Indicator light shifting from successive shining to intermittent shining. 3-2 Adjust Temperature (Down) Press C2 button, temperature begin to drop until reach specified temperature. For example, in order lower temperature from constant state of 380 degree to 180 degree (as illustrated as follow) constant temperature A380 Press the second button from the left. b380 b180 release the button A380 3

3-3 Set Airflow Press C3 button, airflow indication change from F15 to F18, and airflow starts to increase; release the button when it reaches F99, the glass ball that in the airflow meter will rising to the top, indicating the max airflow. Press C4 button, airflow indication change from F99 to F96, airflow starts to decrease; release the button when it reaches F06, the minimum for no airflow. 4 How to Use the Reset Button ( Press D button, device returns to stand-by State, temperature indicated A100 and airflow indicate F15. Caution: Do not press reset button when device at Maximum temperature. Adjust temperature and waiting for temperature drop to the minimum then pressing the reset button, for avoid damage on the heating unit and the handle. 5 How to Use the Handle Switch (s Touch on/off switch that on the handle; when you put the handle back to the holder, the switch will be triggered on. When the switch is triggered on, the heating unit will stop to heating immediately; after the handle remains unused for 5 minutes, temperature display will indicator E and device automatically shut-off state to save power; when you pick up the handle again the appliance will recover the previous set state. 5-1 Sleep Mode Timer Set-Up Switch the unit ON (or press Reset button D from the panel). Press and hold C3 while the banner is scrolling. Display panel, B2, will initially indicate L05, which means the device will switch to sleep mode after 5 minutes (default) of idle time and if the nozzle is docked on the handle for the duration of time. Adjust the time before sleep by pressing buttons C1 or C2. Press C4 to confirm. The device will start counting down when the hot air gun is docked on the handle. Once countdown is finished and the hot air gun still docked, the 4

device will automatically blow air (at room temperature) to bring down temperature to 90 The panel will then display the following after reaching the safe temperature level and to indicate that the device is now in sleep mode. NOTES: Time is configurable from 1 to 20 minutes (default 5 minutes). The device has a switch located at the handle (cradle), which activates the countdown before the system goes to sleep. Once the hot air gun is released from the handle during sleep mode, the unit will automatically switch back to previous working temperature and airflow level parameters. 6. Replacement the Heating Element 6.1 Replacement Parts Item Specification 5SS-952BC-F-H Heating element (210V-240V ) 250W 6-2 Replacement the Heating Element Loosen the screw, slide the tube loosen the 3 screws, which secure the handle. Then slide the cord and the cord tube. Open the handle disconnects the ground wire sleeve, and remove the pipe, in the pipe, the quartz glass and heat insulation is installed. Do not drop or miss it. Take out the heating element loosen the cable. And take out the heating element. Insert new heating element handles it with care. Never rub the Heating Element wire Insert a new heating element and reconnect the terminal. Reconnect the ground wire after replacing the element.assemble the handle in the reverse order of disassembly. Insert the handle s projection into the hole in the pipe. 5

7 Prepare work before operation Select the FP Pick-up Wire, The size of it and IC should match. FP Pick-up has a small wire (15mm). But it probably needs a big FP Pick-up wire (20mm) Please choose the suitable FP Pick-up Wire according to the size of IC Select the suitable nozzle, which should be matched with IC in size. Loosen the screw of nozzle Set up the nozzle according to the graph. Tighten the screw properly 8 The process of removing solder. Turn on the power switch, temperature displayed is the required, and the heater start to heat up, the indicator lamp is glimmering. Place the FP pick-up under the IC if the width of IC is not fit to the steel wire of FP pick-up, steel wire of pick-up, press the steel wire to fit it. Melt the solder holding the iron, aim the nozzle at the solder, let it melted by the hot Air. NOTE : Don t touch the pin of IC with the nozzle. To move IC After the solder is melted, use the FP pick-up move the IC. Power off after power down switch is pressed, automatic blowing is started, to cool down the heating part and the handle, during this period, don t unplug the power supply, when the temperature of muzzle is below 100 the machine will automatically power down, if the machine will not be used in long time, unplugging the power supply is suggested. Clean the remained solder after the IC is moved, the remained solder could be cleaned by solder absorber or absorber pump. 9. Soldering Lay on some soldering paste, place the SMD on board. Pre-heating the SMD. 6

Don t use this product near flammable gas, paper, or other flammable things. The temperature of muzzle and hot air is very high and could be hurt, don t touch the heating part or blow the hot air to body. If the machine is new, due to heat instruction material build in it s handle, it will smoke in a short time, and this is normal. After using does remember cooling down the machine, after power down is pressed, the machine automatic cool down by blowing during this period, please keep power on. Never drop or sharply jolt the unit. The pipe contains quartz glass, which can break if the unit dropped or jolted sharply. Do not disassemble the pump. Disconnect the plug when you don s use the unit for a long time. When the temperature is over 350, the temperature setting button had better set between level 3 to 8 while turning on the machine. 10. How to use suction pen 1) Based on the need to extract weight (less than 100g) and surface size, Select the sucker size, installed in the suction pen head. 2) Put the sucker horizontally on the surface of the adsorbed item. Close the hole on the pen with one hand, The suction pen will hold items 3) Move the absorbed item to the position wanted, open the holes on the suction pen, Items out of sucker 7

NOTE: Pay attention that tube can not be bent, it may influence of gas flow Absorbed item surface should be smooth, in order to be sucked. Pay attention to prevention of ESD, so as not to damage the device 11. Change the fuse Make sure the equipment is completely isolated from the main power source before changing the fuse. The fuse of the main unit is located at the back of the equipment, right above the power plug connector. Change the blown fuse by unscrewing the fuse holder. Replace only with the same fuse type, size, and rating. Use the table below as reference. Keep a spare fuse of the same rating for emergency purpose. 2-1 顯示器功能狀態說明 從左至右, 第一位指示功能 : A- 表示自動即時測量 b- 表示設置溫度第二 三 四位元顯示溫度值第六 七位元顯示氣量的百分數當七個顯示器全顯示 -" 時, 表示機處於休眠狀態 3. 操作使用方法插上電源, 整機開始工作, 溫度顯示為 A100" 風量顯示為 F51" 設置需要的溫度及風量, 便可以開始使用. 3-1 升溫設定 按住左邊第一個按鈕 C1, 選擇好你所需要的溫度檔, 當選擇好溫度檔時, 鬆開按鈕, 溫度顯示會在此時停頓 2 秒鐘後轉變為 A100" 即開始升溫 當溫度升至您所選定的溫度時, 發熱體即停止升溫, 並開始恒溫, 指示燈從連續閃亮轉為斷續閃亮 3-2 降溫設定 按住左邊第二個按鈕 C2, 實際溫度和溫度顯示即開始下降, 直至您所需要的溫度檔, 鬆開按鈕即可 例 : 當溫度在 380 度恒溫時, 而您所需溫度要降至 180 度 ( 示意如下 ) 恒溫 380" 按住左邊第二個按鈕 C2 b380" b180" 鬆開按鈕 A380" 11

3-3. 風量設定 1 按住右邊第四個按鈕 C3, 風量顯示從 F 15" 轉為 F18" 風量即開始上升, 直至顯示為 F 99" 鬆開按鈕, 風量計玻珠升到頂端, 此時風量達到最高 2 按住右邊第五個按鈕 C4, 風量顯示從 F99" 轉為 F 96" 風量即開始下降, 直至降到 F 06" 此時風量最低, 鬆開按鈕, 風量就會停止 4. 復位鍵的使用按住中間第三個按鈕 D, 整機馬上恢復到待機狀態, 溫度顯示為 A100" 和 F51" 注意 : 當本機處於高溫時, 不要直接使用復位鍵, 應先將溫度降至最低再按復位鍵, 以免造成對發熱體及手柄的損壞 5. 手柄開關的使用說明 觸點式開關裝置在手柄架上, 當您工作完畢把手柄放回支架時, 開關就會接通. 手柄開關接通時, 發熱體即進入休眠計時, 當您 5 分鐘不提起手柄工作, 溫度顯示為 E" 並自動進入息機省電保護狀態 ; 當您重新提起手柄工作, 機器自動恢復到原來的設置狀態. 使用後切記冷卻機身, 關電後發熱管會自動短暫噴出涼氣, 在此冷卻時段, 請勿拔去電源插頭, 當噴氣溫度低於 100 攝氏度時, 自動關機 切勿掉落或重振發熱管含有古籍石英玻璃, 如果掉落或重振, 會使玻璃破碎 勿拆開泵 長久不使用, 應關電源開關 5-2 息機省電保護 ( 睡眠 ) 狀態時間設定將開關打開並且按按住中間第三個按鈕 D. 按下 C3 按鍵不要鬆開直到 B2 顯示器顯示 `L05', 代表在設定 5 分鐘 ( 內定 ) 後將進入睡眠模式, 此時調整 C1 或 C2 來調整時間, 完成後按下 C4 確認. 當熱風槍手柄上靠在放置架上時產品將開始倒計時 倒計時完成後, 熱風槍無任何動作時, 熱風槍會自動送風溫度降至 90, 面板顯示達到安全溫度時表示產品處於睡眠狀態備註 : 時間設定範圍 1 ~ 20 分鐘 ( 內定 5 分鐘 ) 12

替換發熱材料 編號 5SS-952B-F-H 名稱 / 規格發熱材料 /(210 伏特 -240 伏特 )250 瓦特 6-1 替換部件 6-2 替換發熱材料 鬆開拴緊手柄的 3 枚螺絲, 移出電線管 拆開手柄, 鬆開接地電線護套, 取出管件, 管同內裝置有石英玻璃和熱絕緣體 勿掉落或遺失 取出發熱材料鬆開終端板, 取出發熱材料 插入新發熱材料小心處理, 切勿磨擦發熱材料電線, 插入新發熱材料, 重接終端 感測器線有極性, 應注意區別 ( 發熱芯傳器黃色為正極, 紅色為負極 手柄連接線中感測器的兩根線, 紅色為負極, 黑色為正極, 請確認後, 再連接發熱材料 ) 依拆開時的相反程式, 回裝手柄 7. 使用前準備工作 選擇與積體電路尺寸相配合的起拔鋼絲.FP 起拔器配有小鋼絲 (15 毫米 ) 但可能需要大起拔鋼絲 (20 毫米 ). 請依照集成電路塊尺寸, 選擇適合的起拔鋼絲. 選擇積體電路尺寸相配合的噴咀. 鬆開噴咀螺絲. 裝置噴咀. 適當緊固螺絲 8. 除錫過程 將起拔器置於積體電路塊之下, 將起拔器插入積體電路塊底下, 如果積體電路塊寬度不適合起拔鋼絲尺寸, 可擠壓鋼絲寬度以適應之 熔化焊劑持著焊鐵, 使噴咀對準所要熔化焊劑部分, 讓噴出熱氣熔化焊劑 噴咀不可觸及積體電路塊引線 9. 焊接 塗抹適量錫膏 13

塗抹適量錫膏, 將 SMD 放在電路板上 預熱 SMD 焊接, 向引線部份平均噴出熱氣 清理, 焊接完畢, 清除熔料殘餘 注意 : 用熱氣焊接是有效的, 但也可能導致焊劑球 焊劑搭連等問題 我們建議您仔細檢查焊接元件 注意事項 : * 安裝噴咀時勿用力過大, 或用鉗子拉動邊緣, 勿過度擰緊螺絲 * 必須在發熱管與噴咀冷卻時安裝噴咀 * 小心高溫操作切勿在易燃氣體 紙質 或其他易燃物品附近, 使用本拆焊台, 噴咀十分灸熱, 為免灼傷身體, 切勿觸摸發熱管, 或以熱氣直噴身體部位. 對於新機, 因手柄內有隔熱材料 雲母管, 開機後短時間內冒白煙, 這屬正常現象 10. 吸筆使用 1) 依據需要提取的物品重量 ( 不大於 100g) 及表面大小, 選擇使用的吸盤規格, 安裝在吸筆的頭部. 2) 將吸盤水平放置在被吸物的表面, 用手按住吸筆上的孔位, 使吸筆吸住物品. 3) 將被吸物移動到放置的位置, 松開堵住吸筆上的小孔, 物品會脫離吸盤. 注意事項 : * 使用吸筆時注意皮管不可彎折, 影響氣體流動. * 被吸物表面需要光潔, 以利被吸取. * 注意防靜電措施, 以免損壞器件. 11. 故障維修更換保險絲 1) 確保電源已經移除. 2) 保險絲管在設備背面位置 3) 使用螺絲刀旋開保險絲座 4) 更換相同規格的保險絲, 如下表所示. 位置 規格 尺寸 設備背面 3A, 250V 5x20mm 14
