1990-1997 1980-1997 Abstract The relationship between human resource development and economy increase has been an important research item with the coming of knowledge economy. In this

paper, ahead item are discussed by quality and quantity method of system theory. This thesis is composed of 5 chapters. Chapter I Introduction. The human capital theory is briefly introduced, with its development and basic definitions, then the usage of human capital in economy improvement and important significance. Chapter Analysis of human resource development actuality. Firstly, the actuality and trouble of China; secondly, the analysis of Fujian province are discussed; thirdly, the employment construction and tendency of Fujian. Chapter Quality analysis of human resource development and economy increase. Within this chapter, social economy system is divided into economy evolvement system, human resource development system and population system. And the relationship of three is analyzed with the system theory. Chapter Quantity research of human resource development and economy increase. Methods of Schultz and Denison are briefly introduced; then the contribution of education to economy is counted by the total hour reductionism method and ability function method. Then a new human capital-economy increase model is proposed. Chapter Develop human resource and meet challenge of knowledge economy. The basic definition and theory of knowledge economy are stated, and some suggestion and strategy are proposed.
