Business method patents innovation has become the mainstream of financial innovation. Financial institutions in developed countries are implementing patent enclosure movement and trying to seize the initiative in the international financial innovation. Chinese financial enterprises have an urgent need for the use of the patent strategy to promote financial innovation. Analyzing the patent competitive situation that China s financial enterprises are facing empirically this paper constructs a framework of patent strategy for financial innovative enterprises in China and some recommendations are put forward on how to implement patent strategy in the field of patent research patent acquiring patent implementing and law systems.
