The structure of grandstand is steel frame and cable stayed spatial grid structure system is used in the roof. Several key points of structural design were discussed including the overall structural arrangement pushover analysis of the sub-stand prestress control of the cable and overall stability analysis of the roof. On the basis of the overall modeling of the sub-stand and roof envelope design elastic time history analysis elastic stress analysis of the floor and non-yielding computation under rare earthquake were applied. The new connection design was summarized and structural design method of the stand with large span cantilevered roof was explored.
