Visit Haeundae Beach, one of Korea s famous and popular strips of coastline. Walking tour of Haedong Yonggungsa Temple. Built along the shore line, this Buddhist temple has a tranquil atmosphere and beautiful surrounding scenery. Free time at Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) Square. Day 3 Busan Gyeongju (B/L/D) Proceed to Gyeongju, the royal capital of the ancient Silla Kingdom often referred to as the museum without walls. Take a relaxing stroll around Bomun Lake and enjoy the view. Hop on the family-friendly swan boat ride at the amusement park (at own expense). Take a slow walk to the Seokguram Grotto, a hermitage part of the Bulguksa Temple complex overlooking the Sea of Japan, 750m above sea level. Walking tour of the Daereungwon Tomb complex (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). These royal tombs of the Silla Kingdom which hold thousands of relics are surrounded by beautiful trees and calm walking-paths. Visit the Cheomseongdae Observatory. Day 4 Gyeongju Daegu (B/L/D) Proceed to Daegu for a full-day walking tour. Visit the Daegu Arboretum, a beautiful botanical garden. Entrance to the Daegu Apsan Park, one of the largest urban-eco parks in Daegu with numerous walking trails and leisure activities (tour includes archery experience). Fabulous views of Daegu can be seen from the top of Mt. Apsan (gondola ride at own expense). Free time at Dongseongno Shopping Street. Day 5 Daegu Busan / Jeju (B/L/D) Domestic flight to Jeju Island. Stop by Dragon Head Rock, a natural lava formation resembling a dragon's head created by strong winds and waves over thousands of years. Experience the Ghost Road (Mysterious Road) where vehicles can move uphill although their engines are turned off. Free time at Tap-Dong Street, a well-known shopping district on Jeju Island. Day 6 Jeju (B/L/D) Visit Seongsan Sunrise Peak, an extinct volcanic crater jutting out to the sea. Stroll along quaint stone fences up the Seopjikoji (Seopji Hill). Experience the olden days of Korean life at Jeju Seongeup Folk Village. The scenes of the village reflect that of the 1890 s. Tour includes a horse riding experience. Entrance to Gimnyeong Maze Park. A map will be provided to guide you through the maze. Entrance to the Jeju Teddy Bear Museum(Teseum). One of the first museums in the world to exhibit all sorts of teddy bears and stitched dolls. Day 8 Busan / Departure (B/L) Proceed to Yongdusan Park, one of the most popular parks in Busan and home to the Busan Tower, a 120-meter high pillar with a pagoda. Free time at Korea's largest seafood market Jagalchi Market, for a taste of fresh, octopuses, clams, oysters, eels, blowfish, giant squids and long leg crabs. Dried seafood is also available.
