Air-Fi Air-Fi is a ZigBee Certified Building Automation solution, and the system is built on a platform that supports BACnet open standards. This allows customers to integrate devices in the future when the building expands or changes. Wireless sensors are easy to move or replace, as needed, to resolve issues related to sensing accuracy, aesthetics or reconfigured spaces. Trane Air-Fi wireless also conforms to the IEEE 802.15.4 standard, so customers get a wireless BAS communication system that reliably coexists with other wireless systems, including Bluetooth and Wi-Fi without interference. There s no security risk with Air-Fi, which uses a separate, secure network from those used by a building s IT system. Air-Fi secures building automation networks by the use of AES-128 encryption, keys and device authentication. Trane Training Class 2015 特靈學堂 2015 Sharing Industry Best Practices and Latest Technology This year, the Trane Training Class (TTC) covered a wide range of topics, from Acoustic Treatment, Stealth Chiller, Next Gen Chillers and High Voltage Direct Online Starter Application. The first class on 27 November 2015 was fully registered during the first week of promotion. Due to the overwhelming demand for the first class, a second class was scheduled for 11 December 2015 and was fully registered within a short time. A full house of more than 40 participants attended each class at the Trane Hong Kong office. During the full day training session, there were four speakers Dr. Sam Poon of Acoustics and Air Testing Laboratory Company Limited, Mr. John Tam of Simoprime, Dr. Philip Yu of Trane Pacific, Mr. Tom Cheung and Mr. Terry Tang of Trane Hong Kong. We would like to express our deep gratitude to the guest speakers for sharing their expertise with us. Participants expressed their interest in the latest HVAC advancement and actively joined the discussion. The Green Building Symposium, Energy-wise Buildings for a Greener Future, organized by CLP, successfully took place on 6 November 2015. Dr. Philip Yu, Environmental and Applications Engineering Director of Trane Pacific, is the chairman of the organizing committee. Trane is pleased to have been invited to support and participate the event. The conference, titled Next Gen Technology to make Green Building Sustainable, provided an excellent platform for researchers and practitioners to share ideas and details of best practice, new technologies and future prospects. About 1,500 race walkers took part. The meaningful event promotes healthy living and raises funds for the Hospital Authority s Health InfoWorld to support its work on enhancing the public s disease management skills. Trane is pleased to support this meaningful event by making a donation and taking part in the Corporate Team Challenge. The Trane team members were Mr. Jeffrey Lam, Mr. Mari Chan, Mr. Thomas Woo and Mr. Ronald Yiu. Property management, JEC and Trane, attended the ceremony. The project consists of supplying three sets high-efficiency CDHG 2250 refrigerant R123 watercooled centrifugal chiller. A Bai San Ceremony took place on 2 November 2015 for Cathay Pacific Catering Services 1st chiller plant replacement, a Bai San Ceremony is held on 2 November 2015. Personality 人物 凌啟文除了是特靈空調服務高級主管 他亦是亞洲健力錦標賽 ( 香港 )2015 香港代表隊 86 公斤男子元老組冠軍 這只是他 20 年運動生命中眾多獎項其中之一 Leng Kai Man is a senior supervisor at Trane Service Hong Kong. He is also the champion of the 2015 Asian Powerlifting Championships in the powerlifting male 86 kg master category, representing the Hong Kong Team. HERU Energy Recovery Unit is insulated and is suitable for use in warm areas. The rotating aluminum heat exchanger recovers up to 86% of the tempered air which is lost with merely exhaust ventilation. CPD Joint Comprehensive Certificate Course (JCCC) on HVAC&R Systems in Buildings 2015 暖通空調及製冷系統綜合證書課程 2015 Ir Dr. Philip Yu, Environmental and Application, Engineering Director, Climate Solutions, Asia Pacific Region, was invited to be one of the speakers on the Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning & Refrigerant Systems in Buildings 2015 CPD JCCC. The session was organized by ACRA, the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE Hong Kong Chapter), The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers Building Services Division (HKIE-BSD), Building Services Operation and Maintenance Executives Society (BSOME) and The Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers Hong Kong Branch (CIBSE-HK). Dr Yu s session was successfully held on 15 October 2015. His topics were concerned on Technology and Development of Refrigerants for HVAC.
