2011/8/5 Total Pages:14 SOFTWARE RELEASE How to update BIOS and EC for T1125 series under DOS PUBLISHED FROM GIGABYTE (By using BIOS Flasher tool to make a bootable USB disk) [HOW-TO] You will learn how to update BIOS and EC for T1125 series under DOS correctly. (EC can only be updated under DOS) [Tool kit] An empty or formatted USB disk [STEP Download and update BIOS and EC for T1125 series] 1. Connect power core into DC jack. 2. Download the latest BIOS & EC version from GIGABYTE website then double click the self-extract file. 3. Insert an empty or formatted USB disk in USB 2.0 port. 4. Double click the execute file under the DOS folder that just extracted. (for other version of BIOS & EC may have different file name) GIGA-BYTE TECHNOLOGY Co., Ltd. 1
5. Click [OK] on the warning message if you have already insert only one USB disk. 6. Select the location of your USB disk. (You can check it under [Computer Devices with Removable Storage]) 7. Click [Bootable USB] button. GIGA-BYTE TECHNOLOGY Co., Ltd. 2
8. Click the folder icon. 9. Select BOOT image file then click [save]. 10. Click [Write] to start to perform writing image file. GIGA-BYTE TECHNOLOGY Co., Ltd. 3
11. Click [Yes] on warning message to clean all the data on USB disk and start to write image file. 12. Process starts. 13. Once finish the process, now you have a bootable USB disk which includes the latest BIOS & EC files inside. Please click [Exit] and restart the computer. GIGA-BYTE TECHNOLOGY Co., Ltd. 4
14. Press F12 when boot screen shows then choose your USB bootable disk to boot to DOS. 15. Press any key to continue when warning message appears. GIGA-BYTE TECHNOLOGY Co., Ltd. 5
16. Start to flash BIOS & EC together under 2 min. 17. Once finishing update, system will automatically shut down. 18. Power on the computer then press F2 to go to BIOS Setup Utility. 19. Note: BIOS Flasher can only be used on GIGABYTE Notebook products. After finish flashing BIOS and EC, you can restore your USB disk size by [Format Your USB Drive] under BIOS Flasher tool. 於 DOS 下更新 T1125 系列的 BIOS 和 EC PUBLISHED FROM GIGABYTE ( 使用 BIOS Flasher 工具製作可開機的 USB 磁碟 ) [ 目標 ] 於 DOS 下正確地更新 T1125 系列的 BIOS 和 EC. (EC 僅能於 DOS 下被更新 ) [ 所需工具 ] 一個空的或者格式化過的 USB 磁碟 [ 更新步驟 下載並刷新 T1125 系列的 BIOS 和 EC] 1. 將電源插頭插入電源孔並確認電力由變壓整流器供電. 2. 從技嘉產品網頁下載最新版的 BIOS 和 EC 自動壓縮檔並雙擊解壓縮該檔. 3. 插入一個空的或者格式化過的 USB 磁碟至 USB 2.0 阜內. 4. 於剛才已解壓縮的 DOS 資料夾內雙擊執行檔. 5. 確認僅插入一個 USB 磁碟後請按 [ 確定 ]. 6. 於下拉式選單選擇 USB 磁碟的所在磁碟槽名稱. ( 可於 [ 電腦 裝置中含有卸除式存放裝 置 ] 檢查位置 ) 7. 點擊 [Bootable USB] 按鈕. GIGA-BYTE TECHNOLOGY Co., Ltd. 9
8. 點擊資料夾圖示. 9. 選擇 BOOT 映像檔並點擊 [ 存檔 ]. 10. 點擊 [Write] 開始執行寫入映像檔. GIGA-BYTE TECHNOLOGY Co., Ltd. 10
11. 點擊 [Yes] 後將清除 USB 磁碟內所有資料並開始寫入映像檔. 12. 開始執行寫入流程. 13. 完成寫入流程後請點擊 [Exit], 此 USB 磁碟現在已經包含最新的 BIOS 和 EC 檔案且已 成為可開機的裝置. 請重新開機您的電腦. GIGA-BYTE TECHNOLOGY Co., Ltd. 11
14. 進入開機時的 POST 畫面按下 F12 鍵並在 Boot Manager 下選擇您的 USB 可開機磁碟. 15. 當出現警告訊息時, 請確認電腦已連接電源插頭並點擊鍵盤上之任何鍵已繼續 BIOS 和 EC 更新流程. GIGA-BYTE TECHNOLOGY Co., Ltd. 12
