1 : 23 Geophysical Evidences of Some Important Faults in South China and Adjacent Marginal Seas Region HAO Tian2yao LIU Jian2hua SONG Hai2bin XU Yi ( Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing,100101, China) [ Abstract] South China and adjacent marginal seas region is located in the area where Euro2Asia Plate, Philippine Plate and India Plate meet together. It s an important window to research the forma2 tion and evolution about Chinese Continent and marginal seas. In this paper, 39 main faults with dif2 ferent directions in research area are distinguished after processing ( horizontal direction derivative, wavelet transform and inversion for special sections) and analysis for gravity and magnetic data of re2 search area. The feature, extension direction of some faults (for example : Red River Fault) and rela2 tionship between faults and adjacent geological blocks are discussed according to geophysical anomaly features.
