14 伍 入境簽證與外僑居留證 (ARC) 一 獲准入學不等於獲發簽證, 也不等於獲准入境 二 應於來臺就學前, 備妥所需相關證照及文件, 自行前往所在地之中華民國外交部所設之外交領事辦事處, 辦理入臺居留簽證, 入境中華民國之簽證手續與所在地之中華民國外交領事辦事處申辦窗口之地址 電話等相關資訊, 請至中華民國外交部領事事務局 (Bureau of Consular Affairs, BOCA) 網站查詢 : 三 現於臺灣就讀華語文中心之華語生欲轉讀正式學位者, 須備妥所需證照文件及華文測驗二級以上 ( 大學部 ) 或三級以上 ( 研究所 ) 成績, 自行前往臺灣各地之外交部辦事處, 將觀光簽證 停留簽證 (visitor visa) 轉換成居留簽證 (resident visa), 臺灣各地外交部辦事處窗口地址, 請至中華民國外交部領事事務局網站查詢 : 四 外國學生簽證注意事項 ( 一 ) 來臺時, 所持之簽證類別 (visa type) 應為 居留簽證 Resident Visa, 而非 觀光簽證 Visitor Visa ( 二 ) 持 居留簽證 Resident Visa 入境台灣後 15 日內, 須立即申請改換為外僑居留證 (ARC, Alien Resident Certificate) 方可繼續居留於臺灣, 違者將處以罰款 居留簽證 停留簽證 申請居留簽證 入境 15 日內申請 ARC 15 日內申請 ARC 入境連續居留 180 日後可申請加入全民健保 6

15 E. Entry Visa and Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) a. School Admission Letter does not guarantee you obtain an entry visa to Taiwan. b. Please apply for Resident Visa in your own country for entering Taiwan. Make sure you have all the necessary documents required and have sufficient time (at least 1 month) for visa application. See more details on the website of Bureau of Consular Affairs, BOCA: c. If you are a student of Language Center transferring to a degree program, please change your status from Visitor Visa to Resident Visa, and renew your present Alien Resident Certificate (ARC). Level II of TOCFL (The Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language) for undergraduate degree and Level III of TOCFL for graduate degree are required. For more details, please check out d. Students who hold visitor visa (also known as tourist visa) must apply for a resident visa before being applying for ARC. e. 18 陸 學雜費 住宿費 保險費 其它衍生費用 及學費計算 義守大學採學期制授課, 招收春季班與秋季班學生 ( 含轉學生 ); 原則上暑期並不開課, 僅依學生修課登記調查達足額人數時, 始開設小部分課程供學生選修, 修課費用另計, 依義守大學公告為準 2015 年春季班 ( 或稱 103 學年度第 2 學期 ), 學期期間為為 2015 年 2 月 26 日至 6 月 30 日, 或為中華民國 104 年 2 月 26 日至 6 月 30 日, 若有異動以本校國際事務處公告為準 獲義守大學獎助學金之同學請注意, 獎助學金之給付方式, 若為一學年者, 將依當年入學之學期起算, 均分兩學期核發, 若於學期中因故休 退學者, 義守大學得以依規定取消獎助學金之核發, 並追回全數獎助學金 8

Tuition and Other Required Fees, Accommodation Fees, Insurance Premiums, Possible Miscellaneous Fees and Tuition Calculation I-Shou University adopts the semester system, enrolling students (including transfer students) of fall and spring semesters. There are no courses offered during summer vacations. However, some summer courses are available for students to register when enough students sign up to the course after surveying, and the fees will be charged individually based on the University s announcement. The 2015 Spring Semester begins on February 26 th, 2015 and ends after the final exam in Jun, Students who enroll for the spring semester of 2015 will join the class with fall semester students of 2014 without having separate courses offered. ISU scholarship recipients should note that if the scholarship is awarded for one academic year, it will be divided into two equal portions to be granted in two semesters, and the payment will be received from the first enrollment semester. The scholarship will be canceled according to the regulations if the recipient drops out or has been suspended for any reason. a. 31 G. ISU Scholarship for Foreign Students, Work Permit and Service Education a. Scholarship 1. The total amount of scholarship per year will be divided by two and granted in two respective semesters. 2. All scholarship recipients are required to live on campus during their first year studying at ISU, and participate in OIA organized activities. Scholarship will not be granted if you decide to live off campus. 3. The exemption of Tuition and Other Required Fees, Language Lab Fee, Computer Lab Fee, Student Accident Insurance Premiums, and Medical Insurance Premiums will be automatically conducted. ISU Scholarship does not cover any accommodation fee. If your billing shows a balance, please pay upon registration. If there is any remaining amount of money from your scholarship, it will be refunded to you. 4. Graduate Programs: (1) If you are granted with 1 st year scholarship only, you are not qualified to apply for the International Student Scholarship from the second year on. (2) For those who are granted two years or three years scholarship, you shall receive the scholarship only when you complete your first academic year with an 85-point GPA. The score on moral conduct shall be above 80 with no violation of ISU regulations and policies. 5. Undergraduate Programs:Scholarship recipients are responsible for re-applying the scholarship from the second year on. 71 [Appendix IV] Housing Regulations (Summarized) 1. During their stay at the dormitory, residents are banned from exchanging or transferring the dorm vacancy with others or moving into other dorm rooms unless with prior consent from the University. Violators will be punished in accordance with relevant regulations and rules. 2. Residents shall check dormitory properties and supplies distributed to them after moving in and before moving out. They are held liable for compensation in case of any damage to or loss of dormitory properties. 3. Residents shall clean the dormitory area under the guidance and supervision of dormitory cadre members. Those who refuse to do the cleaning will be punished in accordance with relevant regulations and rules. 4. Dormitory Curfews: Residents shall make registration or file an application at the dormitory management office if they want to enter or leave the dormitory during dormitory curfews (11:30 p.m. ~ 06:00 a.m.). Those who refuse to do so will be banned from entering or leaving the dormitory and punished in accordance with relevant regulations and rules. 5. Nighttime Roll Call: Nighttime roll calls are made once or twice every month. Residents shall file an application for leave of absence in advance if they want leave the dormitory or stay elsewhere overnight. 6. Those who miss the roll call but haven t filed an application in advance will be punished in accordance with relevant regulations and rules. Moreover, those who have missed the roll call for three times within one semester or five times within one academic year will be disqualified from reapplying for dormitory accommodation or drawing lots for dormitory vacancies for a period of one year. 7. Residents who have been registered as returning late for three times will be punished in accordance with relevant regulations and rules. Moreover, those who have been registered as returning late for six times within one semester will be disqualified from reapplying for dormitory accommodation or drawing lots for dormitory vacancies for a period of one year.

73 8. Meeting Guests: Residents are allowed to meet guests from 08:00 a.m. through 08:00 p.m. Guests are required to complete due procedures before entering the dormitory. 9. Residents must not bring guests of the opposite sex into the dormitory, enter areas where residents of the opposite sex live, or allow non-residents, relatives or friends to stay overnight. 10. Dormitory Security: It is strictly prohibited to: use personal electrical appliances which may endanger fellow residents; keep illegal or dangerous substances, explosives, firecrackers or fireworks; smoke, drink, cook or gamble (including possessing mahjong tiles or other gambling paraphernalia); and keep pets (such as cats, dogs, fishes, snakes, guinea pigs and lizards). 11. Residents who repeatedly violate relevant regulations and rules and show no sign of improvement will receive severer punishment or even be evicted from the dormitory. 12. Dormitory Cleanliness: Residents who have failed the dormitory cleanliness inspection for three times will be punished in accordance with relevant regulations and rules. Moreover, those who show no sign of improvement after being notified or fail the recheck of the dormitory cleanness competition will be banned from reapplying for dormitory accommodation. 13. Residents must dispose waste according to relevant rules and must not place waste in public spaces (such as hallways, bathrooms, stairways or drinking fountains) to create a healthy and clean living environment. Those who show no sign of improvement after being reported or exhorted will be punished in accordance with relevant regulations and rules. Repeated offenders or those involved in a serious violation will be evicted from the dormitory, and at the same time be banned from reapplying for dormitory accommodation or drawing lots for dormitory vacancies. 14. Residents who are found to have violated any provision of the Housing Regulations or dormitory-related rules will be punished depending on severity. Those involved in a serious violation will be evicted from the dormitory or become disqualified from
