Share files, libraries, and more Updated in Adobe Creative Cloud 2015 release Introduction Share a file or folder Share libraries, library assets, and mobile creations View an asset shared with you Share files, folders, libraries, or assets to Slack Introduction To the top Creative Cloud Assets lets you share public links to the following types of assets: Files Folders Libraries Library elements Mobile creations By sharing public links, you can gather quick feedback on assets and work more efficiently with others. When you share a link with someone, they can view a high fidelity preview of the assets directly in the web browser without having to install Creative Cloud apps or sign in to the website. In addition to viewing the assets, they can write comments or download a copy of the files (if you permit them to do so). Public sharing of assets ensures that you retain complete control over your content. Recipients get read-only access to your assets, which means they cannot upload, update, or delete them. The shared assets are accessed using a unique Adobe.ly short URL that you send via email or copy/paste to send. At any time, you can turn the URL off to revoke access. To collaborate with co-workers (share assets with different levels of access permissions), see Collaborate with others. 62

Share a file or folder To the top 1. On the Creative Cloud Assets page, navigate to a file or folder to share. 2. From the Share menu, choose Send Link. 3. The file is shared and a short public URL is created. On the Send Link dialog, specify the email addresses you want to send this link to. 4. Click Advanced Options. The following options are enabled by default. Allow Downloads: allows link recipients to download a copy of the file Allow Comments: allows link recipients to add comments to the file Allow use of Extract: allows link recipients to extract image information and assets Note: The Allow use of Extract option is available only when sharing a Photoshop (.psd) file. For more information how Extract works, see Creative Cloud Extract. Optionally, you can choose to disable the options. 63

5. Click Send Link. An email is sent to the recipients with the link (short URL) to access the shared file or folder. Clicking the short URL opens the shared file or folder in a web browser. Recipients don't have to be Creative Cloud members to view or access publicly shared files and folders. Preview of the shared file in a browser Note: If you have View-only permissions on a shared private folder, you cannot create or share a public link to it. However, you can send out links to public folders. Later, if the owner decides to make the folder private, the link you shared earlier will become inaccessible. Share libraries, library assets, and mobile creations To the top Let's see how you can share a library through a public link: 1. Log in to the Creative Cloud Assets page. 2. Once logged in, in the left pane, click Libraries. 3. Expand the context menu for the library that you want to share. Click Send Link. Creative Cloud prompts you that sharing will create a read-only public link for the library. Generate a read-only public link for the library 64

4. Click Create Public Link. 5. If you want recipients to be able to be able to save the library to their own Creative Cloud Assets account, click Advanced Options and then select Allow Downloads. 6. Enter the comma-separated list of recipients and click Send Link. Creative Cloud sends out the public link and recipients receive email invitations to view the asset. You can also share individual library assets and mobile creations in much the same way. For example, here s how you share an Adobe Stock image added as an asset to a Creative Cloud library: Share an Adobe Stock image added as a library asset View an asset shared with you To the top You can save shared assets to your Creative Cloud account. If the sender has shared a library or mobile creation, you can save the complete library or mobile creation to your own account. Share files, folders, libraries, or assets to Slack To the top Slack is a cloud-based team communication tool that offers features such as real-time messaging, archiving, and search. You can share your Creative Cloud files, folders, libraries, and assets to Slack. Sharing your content to Slack requires that a public link to it be created beforehand. Follow these steps: 1. On the Creative Cloud Assets website, select the Share To Slack option for the content you want to share. Share an asset to Slack 2. In the Share To Slack dialog, click Create Public Link. 66

3. On the screen that follows, click Authorize Slack. 4. On the Slack sign in page, enter your team's Slack domain. 5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
