2014 1 5 The Age BackgroundDevelopment Trend and Strategy Choice for China's N ational Defence in the 21st Century Sun Yanhong Abstract The international strategy environment has changed greatly since the beginning of the 21st century. C hina's defence construction is facing new age background for there are new changes in the aspect of the security strategy environment and the new military transformation develops remarkably w ith the core of information technology. T here are seven developing trends in the field of national defence of the main countries all over the w orld. The national defence construction requires more emphasis on the national security and development interestthe top design and strategy plandemanding-originated motivationtheory and technology innovationstructure and organization effectiveness and capabilityscience managementand civil-military integration. China's national defence in the future is in need of five strategy choosing to ensure the correct direction of the national defence development by adhering to taking the national security requirement as the draw ing force to realize the coordination of the national defence construction and the economic development by adhering to taking the national economy as the foundation to explore the national defence road of information w ith Chinese characteristics by adhering to taking modernization as the center to further improve the national development mode of civil-military integration by adhering to the socialist market economy to prompt the continuous development of national construction by adhering to taking technology and theory innovation as motivation.
