Building on the great success of the Fire Services TV drama series Elite Brigade in 2010 and 2012, the Department continued to work with Radio Television Hong Kong to produce the new Elite Brigade III in 2015 with a view to promoting the work of the FSD and enhancing public awareness of fire safety and the proper use of ambulance services. Director Lai Man-hin and the Deputy Director of Broadcasting TOP STORY (Programmes), Mr Tai Keen-man, officiated at the kick-off ceremony of the Elite Brigade III cum fire and ambulance services promotion day on September 26 at the Piazza of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. The Elite Brigade III comprises five one-hour episodes based on real cases. The TV drama, featuring various core duties of the FSD, covers incidents sub-divided units, ambulance services and multiple casualty incidents. ambulance services, the FSD personnel also performed in the TV drama. Besides, a song written by Fireman Yau Tsz-hong based on his personal experience has been selected for the Elite Brigade III and well received. To further publicise the TV drama and the work of the FSD, two video clips of the song have been produced and uploaded to the FSD YouTube channel.
