256 ( ) 41 2 2015 3 ratsinothergroupswerefedwithxiaochengqidecoctionplushungertoestablishthespleendeficiencysyndrome models.afterthemodelestablishingtheratsinlowmedium andhighdosesofrhizomeatractylodisextract groupsweregavaged with 0.51.02.0 g ml -1 Rhizomeatraetylodis extractrespectively;theratsin domperidonegroupweregavagedwiththedomperidonesuspensionsolutionandtheratsinnormalgroupandmodel groupweregavagedwithphysiologicalsaline.charcoalgavagemethodwasusedtodeterminetheratioofstomach retentionandtherateofsmalintestinalpropulsionoftherats;intestinalperfusionmethodwasusedtodetectthe levelsofigainintestinalperfusionliquidoftherats;themethodofdrawingbloodfromabdominalaortawasusedto detectthelevelsofigginserumandmotilin (MTL)substanceP (SP)somatostatin (SS)inplasmaoftherats; immunohistochemistry method was used to detectthe expressionlevels of Tol-like receptor 4 (TLR4)in duodenumjejunumandileumtissues.results Comparedwith modelgroupthelevelsofigaintheintestinal perfusionfluidandiggintheserum oftheratsinlowmediumandhighdosesofrhizomeatractylodisextract groupsanddomperidonegroupwereincreased;theratesofstomachretentionoftheratsweredecreasedobviously andtheratiosofsmalintestinalpropulsionoftheratswereincreasedsignificantlywhilethelevelsofmtlsp andssintheplasmaoftheratswereincreased (P< 0.05orP<0.01).Compared withlow doseofrhizome atractylodisextractgroupthelevelsofigaintheintestinalperfusionliquidandiggintheserumoftheratsin mediumandhighdosesofrhizomeatractylodisextractgroupswereincreased;theratesofstomachretentionofthe ratsweredecreasedandtheratiosofsmalintestinalpropulsionoftheratswereincreasedwhilethelevelsofmtl SPandSSintheplasmaoftheratswereincreasedandthelevelsofTLR4intheduodenumjejunumandileum tissueswereincreased (P < 0.05P < 0.01).Conclusion Rhizomeatractylodis extractcanimprovethe gastrointestinalmotilityandtheimmunefunctionoftheratswithexperimentalspleendeficiencysyndromeandhas beterregulationandtreatmentefectsonthefunctionalgastrointestinaldisordersandlowstateofsystemicandlocal immunefunction.
