On the palate, this wine is powerful, with the ripe fruit evolving into vanilla, cedar and liquorice notes. Good acid-ity and a full-body gives this wine a balanced structure with perfect integration of the oak leading into a long and flavoursome finish. A well-structured palate with highlighted but silky tannins delivering a soft and unctuous mouth-feel. A good balance between the alcohol and the acidity. Notes of wild, red fruits, the buttery hints of cocoa and vanilla and the spicy notes from the oak blend harmoniously and lead into a lingering and perfumed after-taste. It delivers plenty of red fruit and berry flavours like blackberry, strawberry and cherry with floral notes (Lily of Florence, violets) and just a hint of spice. Fresh and cheerful in the mouth reinforcing its fruity nose and yielding to a lingering aftertaste. This cava has a round mouthfeel with a creamy mousse and lively acidity. In the mouth it is dry, soft and round on the palate, with a long and persistent finish. Brandy de Jerez / D.O. 赫雷斯白兰地 48 / 49 Merito 15 / 梅里托 15 Merito 25 / 梅里托 25 Alcohol: 40% Ageing: Brandy aged for more than 15 years using the traditional Jerez nursery system of Soleras and Criaderas in 500 and 600 litres American oak vats (botas) which were previously used to mature 10-year old Oloroso Sherry. The long oxidative ageing in the botas converts the holandas (distillate) into brandy conferring a clear varnish brown colour and intense nutty and vanilla aromas. Tasting Notes: Tawny brown in colour, with a characteristic nutty aroma and hints of vanilla from the oak. On the palate, flavours of dried fruits and nuts with mingle with sweet spice, toast and vanilla, all integrated with delicate fruit aromas of the grape.
