3 Foreword This standard is prepared in accordance with the stipulations given in GB/T This standard is proposed by Ministry of Housing and Urban-rural Development. This standard is under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee on Building Curtain Walls, Windows and Doors of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 448). 5 General specifications for building curtain walls, windows and doors 1. Scope This standard specifies performance classification and selection, requirements and tests concerning curtain walls, windows and doors. This standard is applicable to civilian use curtain walls, windows and doors. This standard is either applicable to external wall decoration system with the panel directly affixed to the main structure or external wall hanging system without supporting frame or structure, nor applicable to special use doors and windows e.g., fire-proof windows and doors, escape windows and doors, smoke exhaust windows, ray shielding windows and doors, etc. 2. Terms and definitions For the purpose of this standard, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 5823 and GB/T and the following terms and definitions apply. 3.1 设计相似性 similar design The characteristics that the change in the designs of curtain walls, windows and doors, glasses and hardware etc. or the design of assembly manner not triggering the change of performance 3.2 代表性试件 representative sample The test piece which can represent the results of performance tests of similar design curtain walls, windows or glasses 3.3 门窗耐火完整性 fire resistant integrity of windows and doors The capacity of stopping fire flame or hot air passing through or fire flame appearing at the back of fire when one side of building windows and doors get fire under the standard fire resistant test condition 4. Performance classification and selection Performance classification and selection of curtain walls, windows and doors shall comply with the stipulations given in table 1. 5

Note 3: Opening/closing properties are not applicable to automatic door. 5. Requirements 5.1 General requirements 7

10 5.1.1 The appearance, materials, dimensions of building curtain walls, windows and doors and assembly quality shall comply with the relevant national stipulations The designed service life of main components such as building curtain walls, plates and section bars of windows and doors shall not be lower than 25 years Fire resistance and lightning prevention levels of building curtain walls shall comply with GB and GB The tempered glass used by building curtain walls shall comply with JGJ 102. The tempered glass used by doors and windows shall comply with GB For external windows and doors with fire resistant integrity requirements, at least one layer of glass shall comply with GB The reinforced steel or aluminum lining used by external plastic windows and doors, external aluminum composite windows and doors, external aluminum windows and doors can be connected into an enclosed frame. Measure to prevent the detachment of glass after being caught in fire shall be taken within glazing rabbet The structural adhesive used by glass curtain walls and hidden windows shall comply with GB The selection of building windows and doors shall comply with GB/T Performance Safety Wind load resistant properties The graduations of wind load resistant properties of curtain walls, windows and doors with the graded detected pressure p 3 as the grading index shall comply with the stipulations given in table 2. 8

Table 3 Graduations of planar deformation performance Grade Grading index γ 1/400 γ <1/300 1/300 γ <1/200 1/200 γ <1/150 1/150 γ <1/100 γ 1/ Impact resistant properties The graduations of impact resistant properties of windows and doors with the maximum height that windows and doors can bear, from which soft heavy body is fallen to create an impacting force to hit windows and doors shall comply with the stipulations given in table 4. The graduations of impact resistant properties of curtain walls with the impact energy E as the grading index shall comply with the stipulations given in table 5. The impact energy index of curtain walls used in the place with large person flow density or where the youth or children play shall not be lower than grade 2.
