Luanchuan M olybdenum Co., L td, L uoyang , Henan, China Gabbro 2diorite zircons from Yantongshan in central J ilin Province are euhedral2subeuhedral in shape, and disp lay homogeneous growth zoning and high Th /U ratios ( ), suggesting their magmatic or2 igin. LA 2ICP 2MS zircons U 2Pb dating indicate that 206 Pb / 238 U ages of 24 spots ranging (118 1) to (125 1) Ma with a weighted mean age of (122 1) Ma (MSWD = 415), imp lying the crystallization of this rock body as Early Cretaceous in age. The contents of SiO 2 are 52141% 53138%, TiO % 1195%, MgO 3134% 4127% (Mg # = 44 47), TFe 2 O % 9148%, Na 2 O 3199% 4131%, K 2 O 1154% 1197%, Na 2 O /K 2 O and A l 2 O % 19160%, characterizing high Na and A l. The gabbro 2diorites have high light rare earth elem ents (LREEs), low heavy rare earth elements (HREEs) and weakly positive Eu anomalies in chon2 drite2normalized rare earth element curves, and w ith high L ILEs ( Rb, Ba and Th) and relative low HFSEs (Nb, Ta, Zr, Hf and Ti) in p rim itive m antle2normalized trace elem ent sp ider diagram.
