On the one hand it fully recognizes the significant contribution this work has made in developing the field of disaster history on the other hand it studies its limits and inadequacy. Furthermore this article applies the research of the Qing Dynasty as an example and suggests a most updated blueprint for the database construction of the historical sources of Chinese disaster history. This blueprint intends to build a public academic platform which is sustainably accumulating and expanding for domestic and overseas scholars. 8 sina.
