4 摘要 摘 要 现代主义机械论使人类的世界观逐渐僵化, 继而自我怀疑 失去信仰, 引发了一系列人文主义精神危机 面对一个失去魅力的世界, 返魅 是唯一的对策, 它要求重塑世界的多重可能性, 给人充分的解读权, 促使人类思考自身与他者的关联, 寻找存在的价值和意义 在建筑学科上, 返魅体现为对建筑文化地域性的 强调 随着国力的增强, 中国文化愈加受到重视, 中国式建筑再度成为了国内外 学界争相讨论的热词 然而什么是中国式建筑 如何设计中国式建筑, 各家各派 莫衷一是, 由此产生了多种历史主义手法的建筑实践 错综复杂之际, 笔者从现象学角度出发, 将中国式建筑解读为中国营造文化与西方建构文化的现象学交叉点, 提出 中式建构精神 理论 本理论以建构精神的现象为载体, 以中国文化精神的现象为素材, 以对中国传统世界观的返魅为最终目的 本文围绕 中式建构精神 理论展开以下四个方面的论述 : 一 按照设计出发点的不同, 将中国近代 现代 当代的历史主义建筑设计手法分为三种 : 注重样式还原的追溯法 注重思想传承的追求法 注重心理认知的追忆法 并从理论与实践两个方面, 论述追忆法的时代意义, 证明 中式建构精神 理论的合理性与必然性 二 以返魅的视角梳理人与时间 空间 自然 他人 神祇 世俗的关联, 归纳出叙事性 方位性 交感性 共感性 场所性 仪式性 戏剧性这些心理认知属性 三 将上述认知属性代入建构主义的现象 : 材料应用 构筑逻辑 空间营造这三种设计表现方式, 结合中国文化精神的处理手法, 细化 中式建构精神 理论 四 在中国几代建筑师的实践中, 选取较为典型的案例调研分析, 印证 中式建构精神 理论 最后立足当下, 探讨本理论在地域 时代和创作方 面的局限性与可能性 关键词 : 中式建筑 ; 建构 ; 中式建构精神 I
5 摘要 Abstract Mechanism makes the world view gradually, and triggered a series of humanistic spirit crisis. In the face of disenchantment, "re-enchantment" is the only countermeasure, it requires a multiple possibilities and the right to interpret, prompt human to search for the value and purpose of existence. In the field of architecture, re-enchantment means regionalism. With the augmentation of the national strength, Chinese architecture has become the hot words again. However, what is Chinese architecture, how to design Chinese style buildings, different researchers unable to agree, and resulting variety of historicism means in the architectural practice. Now, the author choose the perspective of phenomenology, the Chinese-style architecture interpretation for the phenomenology of intersection of Chinese architectural culture and the culture construction, and put forward "the spirit of the Chinese tectonic" theory, to construct the spiritual phenomena as the carrier, with the phenomena of Chinese cultural spirit as material, to return the charm of Chinese traditional world view as the ultimate goal. Frist, we divide the historical architecture design method into three types: Reduction, Pursuit, and Remembrance, to prove the trend of Remembrance, demonstrates the rationality and necessity of the spirit of the Chinese tectonic theory. Next, discuss the combing with history, space, nature, others, deities, secular, induces the psychological cognitive properties: narrative, directivity, associability, empathy, places, ritual and dramatic, and put them into the phenomenon of tectonic: material, construction and space, combined with the spirit of Chinese cultural, to obtain the sprint of Chinese tectonic theory. Finally, through the analysis of two typical cases to support to the theory, and then discusses the limitations and possibilities of this theory in the region, period and creation. 12 第一章 绪论 第一章 绪论 1.1 选题背景与研究现状 我们从哪里来? 我们是谁? 我们向何处去? 千百年来, 人类不停拷问着存在的意义 如今社会已步入后现代阶段, 伴随着一元论的溃散与权威的解构, 好像再也没有什么绝对的真理 此时, 人类或妄自菲薄, 因茫茫宇宙中的孤立, 喟叹一己的渺小 ; 或妄自尊大, 让飞速转动的时代齿轮倾轧过每一寸土地, 遗失 了传统的生活模式和城市面貌, 导致日益严重的环境污染和文化乡愁 在这种生 存与信仰的双重危机之下, 人类开始反思进步的意义, 却越发无法寻找到自身的价值 当下, 中国文化 一词在各行各业被频频提出, 王澍极具意象性的宁波博物馆获得普里茨克奖, 更让中国式建筑 ( 以下简称中式建筑 ) 成为了当代学界的热词之一 然而, 什么是中式建筑 怎样设计中式建筑, 各家各派莫衷一是 : 有人认为, 中式 体现在传统样式和营造法则里, 有人认为, 中式 隐含于天人合一 师法自然的精神中 在 建构 (tectonic) 的概念被引入之后, 国内建筑学界更是兴起了一股建构思潮, 认为建构精神即中式建筑精神 建构是考察中国传统建筑的最佳视角 诚然, 与 立面主义 建筑观相比较, 建构更接近中国传统建筑的本质, 具有进步意义 ; 但是在更大的文化土壤层面, 由于中西世界观的不同, 来源于西方的建构视角在考量中国传统建筑时也必然有局限之处 综上, 本文立足社会学背景与建筑学背景, 对中式建筑的概念与设计手法进行探讨 社会学背景针对当下社会中机械论的信仰与危机, 建筑学背景源于国内 建筑学界以建构视角看待中国传统建筑的进步性与局限性 社会学背景 : 世界的祛魅与返魅仰望天空, 是人类千年来不曾停止的事业 古埃及人热烈地崇拜太阳, 称其为万神之神阿吞, 在中国的传说里, 月亮则是嫦娥的居所 然而, 当人类第一次用望远镜对准太空, 一切神话终结了 : 那里没有任何生物, 只是一片寂静的荒野 荒野中布满众神的尸骸 1919 年, 德国社会学家马克斯 韦伯发表了题为 以学术为业 的讲演, 认为在当今社会, 只要人们想知道, 他任何时候都能够知 1
13 第一章 绪论 道 ; 从原则上说, 再也没有什么神秘莫测 无法计算的力量在起作用, 人们可以通过计算掌握一切, 而这就意味着为世界祛魅 (disenchantment) [1]1 在这里, 祛魅 作为一个人文学科名词被首次提出 从字面上看, 它的意思是 祛除魅力, 进一步解读, 它表示 : 宇宙不再拥有自主的生命力, 沦为一架无意识 无目的 无价值的机械 世界失去了不确定性 多元性 神圣性 可解读性和可敬畏性, 变得绝对化 单一化 僵化 世俗化 不可由个体解读, 并充斥着人类的傲慢 祛魅的自然观可上溯到 伽利略 - 笛卡尔 时代 14 世纪, 文艺复兴冲破了中世纪的黑暗, 鼓励人们自主思考, 将理性提升为最高法则 一切超验之物被渐渐抛弃了, 经验也退居二线, 先验夺得了世界的主宰权 直到牛顿力学定律提出, 宇宙彻底成为了一架可操作的机器, 说明书的标题就是 科学 不可否认, 祛魅自然观对人类进步起到了极大的推动作用, 然而时至今日, 它也造成了一系列精神危机 : 在不停解构耗散的世界里, 信仰空缺了, 价值失落了, 再没有什么能为人类制定规则, 再没有终极的真理, 人类丢掉了自己的方向和定位 与祛魅相对, 韦伯提出了 返魅 (re-enchantment) 的概念, 它是人类精神危机的解决方案, 是祛魅的逆向过程 返魅即 返回魅力, 认为宇宙是一个有机统一的整体, 强调价值关怀, 主张恢复世界的多重解读性, 使事物更具联系 更加人性化 表现在建筑学方面, 祛魅对应着现代主义造成的历史平面感, 建筑沦为 使用的机器, 丧失了生动的魅力 这个问题的解决方案 返魅, 即是对建筑诗意的重构, 它强调一种有机的建筑观, 强调建筑与地域和历史的联系, 注重可解 读性和人文价值关怀 而如何达成这一目标, 就是本文讨论的核心问题 建筑学背景 : 建构视角的进步与局限维特鲁威的 美观 实用 坚固 三原则首次确立了建筑的评价标准, 随着时间推移, 社会意识形态逐步转型, 建筑观也相应变化 如今, 建筑设计方法论俨然成为了一名德勒兹眼中的 游牧 (nomadthinking) 者, 自在地穿行于社会学 心理学 语言学 文学 美学 哲学等各个领域, 随意地 拿来 其思想作 1 马克思 韦伯 [ 德 ]. 学术与政治 [M]. 冯克立译. 北京 : 生活 读书 新知三联书店,
14 第一章 绪论 为设计理念 建筑不再是单纯的材料 结构 空间的结合体, 而是思想过境之后 留下的残迹, 是 思维的虫蜕 [1]2 对某个建筑的批评也越来越难从其自身出 发, 必须借用其他学科的理论 在纷杂的外来者面前, 建筑学内部的价值标准正 逐渐丧失着话语权 在这种危机下, 建构 (tectonic) 的概念被正式提出 K 弗兰姆普敦 (Kenneth Frampton) 的 建构文化研究 可说是建构思潮 的开端 在书中, 弗氏将建构作为一种获得诗意的建造技艺, 以 两块砖头的仔 细叠加 为起源, 探讨了当代建筑形式如何发展为一种建造诗学, 并通过对赖特 密斯 康 伍重等建筑师作品的分析, 阐述了结构工程与建构想象在建筑中的呈 现过程, 建造形式和材料特征又如何发挥了相辅相成的作用 由于建构仍然是一个发展中的概念, 弗氏没有给它一个标准的定义 在笔者 看来, 建构是一种建筑观, 它的基础是材料特性..., 原则是构筑.. 逻辑.., 依托于空间.. 营造.., 目的是获得诗意.. 建构立足于对建筑本体的探究, 强调建筑的自治, 试图 建立一套建筑学特有的价值体系, 发掘其有别于绘画 雕塑等艺术的独特审美标 准, 重新获得建筑学对自身的话语权和评判权 建构概念引入中国归功于南京大学的研究阵营 在 立面的误会 中, 赵辰 教授批判了中国第一代建筑学者建立的学术体系, 认为西方世界的 立面观 价 值标准并不适合中国的 营造式 建筑, 倡导以建构的新视角对中国传统建筑进 行再解读 如果说西方建筑规范于 控制线, 那么中国建筑就生长于 叠加体 西方 学者的 控制线图解 是对西方建筑的经典解读, 在几何式分析下, 帕提农神庙 米兰大教堂等立面呈现出了精准的欧几里得比例关系 ( 图 1-1) 梁思成将 控 制线图解 运用于中国传统建筑, 希望寻找出中国立面的美学标准, 国内学者却 1 在德州某个季节里, 黄昏时候, 有些树干上似乎闪著磷光 发出一道模糊却帜热的光芒 走近仔细一看, 才知道原来树干上完全被某些昆虫弃置不要的外壳覆盖住了 令人惊讶的是, 这些外壳没有受到任何的损坏, 就如同原来昆虫住在里面时一模一样 唯一不同的是, 内部的昆虫离开後, 留下的外壳给人一种彷佛是 X 光片透明的效果 忽然间, 我们听到头上漆黑的树叶中传来一阵齐唱的声音 原来那声音是树干上壳中的原主人们所发出, 它们换上新的外型, 藏在树叶丛中 这现象令我们感到奇怪的是, 我们可以看到昆虫的外壳附著在树干上, 怛那却只是空虚的躯体, 被生命本身抛弃的躯体 正当我们注视著这些幽灵般的形体时, 我们听到它们以新的形体在树叶间发出虫呜 我们听得到, 却看不到 那一阵呜叫声可说是灵魂之声 不论是绘画 文学或建筑, 艺术都是思想留下的外壳 真正的思想是没有形体的 事实上我们不能看到思想, 只能看到它的外壳 思想籍著蜕壳来展现, 它超越了本身的限制 摘自约翰 海杜克 [ 美 ]. 库柏联盟 : 建筑师的教育 [M]. 台北 : 惠彰企业有限公司,

16 第一章 绪论 洛书九宫 天文九星等思想 它的背景, 不是西方人眼中充满柏拉图理念论和美学原则的世界, 而是天人合一 万物有灵的中国式玄学宇宙观 短短一支鲁班尺, 动用了中国古代天文 地理 数术 历法各方面的知识, 将庭院 房屋 门窗 家具 器物, 与星宿 时节 方位 地形等有机地连接起来 匠人借助它, 聚散理气 卜筮定形, 整体性世界观被融入一砖一瓦, 建筑自然地从宇宙中生长出来 因此, 中国传统建筑的 营造 在根源上不同于西方人眼中的 建构, 正相反, 用建构的概念对中国传统建筑进行解读, 最终会造成概念本身的消解 著名学者弗莱彻 (B.Fletcher) 曾将世界建筑史比作一棵以西方为主干的树, 随即遭到了强烈批判 与其说世界建筑史是一棵树, 不如将它比作一片森林 : 不同文化的世界观便是不同的土壤, 各地建筑根系相异 枝干相交 花果缤纷 在其中, 建构就是一株交汇东西世界的 连理枝, 它和中国传统建筑在根源上差异 在现象上契合 ( 图解 1-1) 故本文从现象学角度出发, 立足于建构精神和中国文化精神的表达方式, 提出 中式建构精神 的概念 图解 1-1 建筑森林 ( 资料来源 : 笔者自绘 ) 1.2 研究对象 本文的研究对象是中式建构精神, 这涉及到三个问题 : 一是 what, 什么 是中式建构精神 二是 Why, 为什么将中式建构精神确定为研究对象, 其时代 趋势及理论依据是什么 三是 How, 如何将建构精神和中国文化精神进行交 汇, 从而提炼出中式建构精神 中式建构精神的概念 (What) 笔者将中式建构精神的概念界定如下 : 它是一种中式建筑评价体系, 以建构 的设计表现方式为载体, 以中国文化 [1] 5 对待时间 空间 自然 他人 神祇 1 此处的 中国文化 是指中国主流文化, 少数民族文化等分支文化不做讨论 5
