1 Abstract Pursuant to relevant laws social organizations can be societies private non - enterprise entities or foundations and they can be terminated by canceling or revoking the registration or closedown. From time to time the administration agency screens social organizations to clamp down the social organizations that do not conform to the then current policies. This ought not to be the general means of social governance. The termination regimes of social organizations in America Britain Germany and Japan have their own characteristics from which China should learn. While designing the regime for termination of social organizations we could also refer to the relevant rules or doctrines in the Corporation Law and Bankruptcy Law on corporations dissolution and liquidation. To construct a sound and healthy termination regime for social organizations we shall first adhere to the principle that public interest is undertaken voluntarily and social organizations should be terminated at their will and only exceptionally by enforcement then decrease the threshold for social organizations and tolerate their formation and termination third establish the regimes for their valuation and early warning and finally stipulate the liabilities and dispositions of non - distributed property while terminating social organizations.
