Issue 2: The proponet would like remove the last steps of Figure 694 and Figure 695 because this step belongs to location server and no standard impact. Cr74-m #74007 After discussion with Dot16 members, the proposed method has higher compelxity. The proponent would like to withdraw his proposal. Cr74-m #74008 Three bits might be necessary for wideband STC rate to save physical layer complexity. Group would like to suggest proponent to update a revised version with original bit width for wideband STC rate and further clarification in Value/Description. 34

39 Resolution: Adopt the proposed text in IEEE C80216maint-11/0012r1. Cr74-m #74009 Group are fine to accept remedies #1 and #3. For the remedy #2, there some concerns on numbering system. In general, we prefre starting the value from 0. However, the number of MIMO stream starts from 1. It may confused reader and may imply one more bit to store the value. For example: 1, 2, 8 requires 4 bits but 0,1, 7 requries only 3 bits. There may be ambiguity in distinguish two cases. Group would invite Dot16 colleagues to review this modification and invite more input for the numbering system. Once Dot16 group has concensus on the numbering system, maint TG will modify as Dot16 concensus. Resolution: Adopt the proposed text in IEEE C80216maint-11/0013. Cr74-m #74010 The group has no concern to this CR. In current standard, DID shall be assigned when mobile stations enter idle mode and advanced ASN-GW is behind the BS, refer to IEEE m In idle mode, AMS shall use DID for network reentry or location update if ABS connects advanced ASN-GW even AMSID privacy is disabled.
