It focuses the PWD s engineering works on the mountain slope land protection, river governance, and sewage purification. These works are just the reconstructions indispensable to ensure the safety of living in an urban area. Through this volume, the readers will be aware that, thanks to a group of unsung heroes who have made efforts without complaints and regrets, the people s seemingly ordinary recreation in mountainous areas, waterfront leisures, and water purification are realized. And these unsung heroes silent support has paved the foundation of normal functioning of the whole city s various infrastructures. The satisfactory living environments are every city citizen s most fundamental requirement, yet the most difficult to be fulfilled.
