Introduction: A Tale With A Twist. This musical play is created from six famous fairytales- begins with Hansel and Gretel, Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Snow White and Seven Dwarfs, Pocahontas and ends with Gingerbread Boy. The musical play inculcates seven important aspects of character building: LOVE and COURAGE in Hansel and Gretel RESPONSIBILITY in Red Riding Hood PERSEVERANCE in Cinderella APPRECIATION in Snow White RESPECT in Pocahontas SELF-CONTROL in Gingerbread Boy Each character in each scene will discover their strength and how they overcome their weakness. A Tale with A Twist It all began in the story Hansel and Gretel, a pair of siblings who were left in the forest by their stepmother and father. Hansel, the elder brother, a brave boy who was known for his brilliant ideas. Gretel, on the other hand, a timid girl who was lack of self -confidence. As a big brother, Hansel loved and cared for his sister unconditionally. In the first part of the play, Hansel and Gretel found themselves all alone in the forest without food and shelter. But something took a turn in their life when they found a mouth- watering Candy House in the deep forest made from chocolate bars, candy canes, doughnuts and cookies. They were invited by a beautiful woman and soon they realised that they were in a witch s trap! To make matters worse, the witch loved children as food for supper! Thanks to Hansel s brilliant ideas and Gretel s self -discovered courage, they managed to put to an end to the witch s evil deed once and for all! Soon they were back to find their way home. Wait a minute! There were more to this tale that you did not get to find out. Little that you know, on their journey home, Hansel and Gretel met many of their fairytale friends in the forest who were having their own personal issues. Soon, both of them were caught up in an epic musical adventure of building up one s character in each friend they met!
