College of Food & Biological Engineering, Shaanxi University of Science & Technology, Xi an 710021, China) ABSTRACT: Dendrobium officinale has high economic and healthy value, but its shortage of wild resources constrained the increasing market demand. Nowadays, current researches in tissue culture and artificial propagation techniques have been made a certain progress. In this paper, the researches of tissue culture and rapid propagation of D.officinale were reviewed from the aspects of selection of explants, hormone and natural additives. Recent research achievements were summarized and the future research directions were discussed in order to provide theoretical basis for achieving D.officinale magnifying production.
