2011 學 海 遊 學 - 迪 肯 大 學 團 中 文 心 得 報 告 鄭 怡 自 從 得 知 有 這 個 機 會 遊 學 我 就 很 興 奮, 第 一 次 的 出 國 要 到 距 離 台 灣 七 千 公 里 多 的 地 方, 真 的 很 開 心. 由 於 台 灣 是 副 熱 帶 氣 候 所 以 打 包 行 李 的 時 候 我 帶 了 好 多 很 厚 重 的 衣 服, 不 敢 想 像 七 度 的 墨 爾 本 是 如 何? 也 很 開 心 義 守 大 學 提 供 我 這 個 難 得 的 機 會 到 外 國 進 修, 這 真 的 是 一 個 很 棒 的 機 會 對 於 學 生 而 言 遊 學 團 一 大 群 人 從 小 港 機 場 要 出 發 到 香 港, 在 香 港 轉 遇 站 時 真 的 很 新 鮮, 那 是 國 際 水 平 的 機 場, 目 不 轉 睛 不 想 放 過 每 一 個 細 節, 到 了 68gate 要 前 往 墨 爾 本 了! 前 面 的 等 待 都 是 值 得 的, 開 始 在 高 空 中 飛 行, 等 待, 飛 行, 等 待, 最 後 順 利 的 出 了 海 關, 知 道 嗎 在 出 機 場 的 那 一 刻. 冷 空 氣 襲 來, 內 心 的 興 奮 完 全 振 奮 了 經 過 十 幾 小 時 的 等 待 與 飛 行, 嗨 囉 你 好 墨 爾 本! 親 切 的 Scott 在 出 口 等 待 我 們, 像 澳 洲 聖 誕 老 人 的 司 機 坐 在 右 邊 的 駕 駛 座, 親 切 又 爽 朗 的 帶 我 們 前 往 迪 肯 大 學, 路 上 車 子 是 靠 左 邊 開 的 與 台 灣 不 同, 下 著 小 雨 墨 爾 本 有 一 點 點 的 距 離 感, 路 上 的 建 築 廣 告 與 路 標 都 很 新 奇 而 有 著 設 計 感, 我 們 前 往 在 迪 肯 等 著 我 們 的 寄 宿 家 庭 第 一 眼 見 到 的 是 Joanne 的 朋 友 與 她 的 兩 個 女 兒, 來 載 我 到 我 的 寄 宿 家 庭 Joanne 媽 媽 一 見 到 我 就 給 我 一 個 大 擁 抱, 很 溫 暖 的 奶 奶, 家 裡 有 一 隻 雪 白 的 貓 咪 叫 snowy, 然 後 我 們 與 Joanne 的 朋 友 與 女 兒 聊 天 喝 茶, 澳 洲 小 女 孩 好 可 愛, 很 有 主 見 又 勇 敢 思 考, 教 育 的 方 式 不 同 會 讓 兩 個 同 樣 九 歲 的 小 孩 思 考 方 式 與 創 造 力 大 大 的 不 同 Joanne 媽 媽 帶 我 參 觀 了 整 個 家 裡 真 的 很 漂 亮 又 很 用 心, 很 多 從 各 國 來 的 明 信 片, 可 以 知 道 Joanne 媽 媽 對 留 學 生 的 親 切 照 顧, 同 時 我 還 有 一 個 也 從 台 灣 來 的 室 友 我 們 一 同 吃 了 晚 餐 之 後,Joanne 媽 媽 說 明 天 要 帶 我 們 坐 tram 去 上 學. 澳 洲 的 電 車 很 方 便, 這 裡 的 時 刻 表 都 很 準 時 不 論 是 公 車 或 電 車, 搭 電 車 去 迪 肯 大 學 上 課 走 了 十 分 鐘 的 路, 日 後 一 個 月 這 條 路 走 了 好 多 次 一 開 始 見 到 了 好 多 韓 國 同 學, 也 認 識 了 幾 位, 我 們 彼 此 用 英 文 溝 通, 因 為 不 是 自 己 的 母 語 有 時 候 表 達 不 清 楚 時 會 有 些 吃 力, 但 是 很 開 心 我 們 可 以 有 這 個 機 會 彼 此 認 識, 韓 國 人 很 勇 敢 的 說 英 文 來 自 沙 烏 地 阿 拉 伯 和 蘇 丹 的 同 學 他 們 很 勇 於 用 英 文 表 達, 三 四 十 歲 的 人 也 持 續 的 學 習 的 新 的 語 言 在 澳 洲 迪 肯 大 學 他 們 有 著 完 善 的 教 學 設 施, 例 如 先 進 的 電 子 白 板, 還 有 提 供 影 音 錄 影 帶 和 書 籍 雜 誌 的 中 心 提 供 學 生 多 元 的 學 習 方 式, 還 有 電 腦 中 心 和 完 善 的 影 印 設 備 提 供 學 生 作 專 題 作 業, 和 提 供 多 元 的 用 餐 環 境 還 有 YMCA 裡 有 專 業 的 教 練 和 提 供 學 生 運 動 的 場 合 圖 書 館 一 樓 有 著 討 論 中 心, 蒐 藏 的 圖 書 資 料 很 多 元 這 是 台 灣 大 學 需 要 學 習 的 地 方, 迪 肯 大 學 讓 人 感 受 到 的 是 以 學 生 為 出 發 點, 提 供 所 有 可 以 提 供 的 讓 學 生 學 習 導 致 的 結 果 是 有 著 讀 書 風 氣 的 不 同, 學 生 不 僅 是 為 了 考 試 而 學 習, 這 裡 有 許 多 想 學 習 知 識 的 迪 肯 大 學 生, 這 或 許 就 是 為 什 麼 許 多 亞 洲 學 生 想 到 國 外 進 修, 台 灣 的 大 學 目 前 還 沒 有 這 種 讀 書 風 氣, 學 生 和 學 校 都 有 很 大 的 地 方 需 要 改 進, 從 教 育 改 善 整 個 社 會 才 會 進 步, 我 認 為 一 所 大 學 擔 任 著 教 育 者 的 角 色 是 很 重 要, 是 整 個 完 善 社 會 的 根 基, 想 必 這 個 道 理 很 多 設 立 學 校 的 高 官 都
知 道 但 這 卻 是 他 們 最 難 修 的 一 堂 課 學 校 提 供 了 給 我 們 三 次 的 校 外 教 學, 第 一 次 我 們 去 了 有 名 氣 的 大 洋 路, 驅 車 前 往 花 了 很 長 的 時 間, 但 所 見 的 美 景 真 的 是 很 值 得 了, 無 尾 熊 掛 在 高 高 的 樹 上, 沿 路 有 著 野 生 的 牛 隻, 我 們 去 了 lighthouse, 爬 上 燈 塔 螺 旋 狀 的 樓 梯 所 見 的 美 景, 海 水 是 寶 藍 色 的, 礁 岩 壯 麗 的 美 景 和 天 氣 晴 朗 的 一 天, 只 有 美 麗 可 言, 很 幸 運 我 在 這 裡, 坐 在 餐 廳 吃 著 澳 洲 的 三 明 治 看 著 白 色 燈 塔 和 藍 天 的 搭 配 的 愜 意 之 後 我 們 去 twelve apostles 搭 配 著 夕 陽 晚 歸 和 巨 大 得 岩 石, 相 信 二 十 四 小 時 都 有 他 不 同 的 美 麗 澳 洲 提 供 著 直 升 機 高 空 體 驗, 但 價 值 不 斐 驅 車 返 回 家 裡, 要 把 大 洋 路 整 個 遊 完 可 能 要 花 個 三 四 天 才 能 完 全 體 驗 下 一 周 是 puffing Billy 小 火 車, 路 上 有 完 全 不 怕 人 的 鸚 鵡, 甚 至 停 留 在 我 的 頭 上 我 們 乘 坐 了 小 火 車, 火 車 像 極 了 卡 通 湯 瑪 士 小 火 車, 是 蒸 氣 火 車, 月 台 旁 還 有 可 愛 的 車 掌, 也 有 煤 氣 火 車 行 駛 然 後 冒 出 濃 濃 的 黑 煙, 火 車 停 在 湖 邊 我 們 在 湖 邊 散 步 享 受 homemade 午 餐, 然 後 逛 逛 糖 果 店 和 一 些 特 別 的 小 店, 這 些 小 店 都 有 寧 靜 的 氛 圍 賣 的 東 西 也 很 特 別 這 實 在 是 一 趟 很 可 愛 的 小 旅 行 第 三 次 我 們 去 了 Phillip island, 這 天 墨 爾 本 下 著 大 雨,homestay host 告 訴 我 甚 至 下 了 五 分 鐘 的 冰 雹, 幸 運 的 是 我 們 前 往 的 企 鵝 島 出 了 大 太 陽, 短 暫 的 停 留 在 跨 海 大 橋 天 氣 真 的 很 好, 然 後 我 們 先 到 了 介 紹 企 鵝 島 的 場 所, 有 白 色 的 標 記 代 表 著 是 企 鵝 居 住 的 洞 要 前 往 海 灘 的 路 上 看 到 好 多 小 隻 的 小 袋 鼠 散 佈 在 各 個 不 同 的 地 方, 企 鵝 島 是 不 能 拍 照 得 會 傷 害 企 鵝 的 眼 睛, 我 們 在 接 近 六 點 的 時 間 等 著 企 鵝 歸 來, 等 待 是 值 得 的 一 隻 一 隻 小 小 的 企 鵝 排 隊 的 歸 來, 一 上 岸 小 碎 步 衝 上 沙 灘, 然 後 開 始 尋 找 自 己 的 窩, 距 離 很 近 的 看 到 小 小 企 鵝 在 思 考 他 的 家 在 哪 裡, 還 有 一 大 群 站 在 紀 念 品 店 的 門 口, 要 回 去 時 需 要 檢 查 車 底 或 許 會 有 小 企 鵝 跟 著 回 家 之 後 我 們 晚 餐 在 一 家 中 國 餐 廳 用 餐, 很 有 中 國 味 的 餐 廳 大 家 可 能 太 想 念 台 灣 的 食 物 了 把 所 有 的 菜 都 給 吃 光 一 點 都 不 剩, 能 在 外 國 吃 到 中 國 食 物 別 有 一 番 風 味 我 們 和 帶 隊 的 老 師 Scott 聊 了 很 多, 他 旅 行 過 了 三 十 五 個 國 家, 曾 經 待 在 日 本 八 年, 也 在 中 國 待 過 幾 年, 旅 遊 過 很 多 的 國 家, 這 給 我 了 想 要 語 言 學 好 的 動 力, 英 語 目 前 在 世 界 上 是 共 通 的 語 言, 透 過 英 語 我 們 可 以 結 識 各 國 不 同 的 人, 還 有 可 以 旅 遊 世 界, 透 過 語 言 這 個 工 具 去 得 知 更 多 正 在 發 生 在 世 界 上 的 事 情 此 外, 每 個 禮 拜 日 或 者 是 禮 拜 五 晚 上 我 們 都 會 在 墨 爾 本 的 市 區 旅 遊,flinders street 是 一 個 很 漂 亮 的 地 方 集 合 了 很 多 人, 在 這 裡 可 以 觀 察 到 各 種 不 一 樣 的 人, 馬 車 在 街 上 行 走, 漂 亮 的 哥 德 式 建 築 交 錯 著 澳 洲 特 色 電 車, 還 有 常 見 的 抗 議 活 動 不 停 的 為 這 個 城 市 添 加 不 一 樣 的 色 彩 Eureka sky deck 可 以 俯 瞰 整 個 墨 爾 本 市 區 的 美 麗, 我 們 體 驗 了 空 中 電 梯, 腳 下 就 是 八 十 八 樓 的 高 景 Vitoria market 體 驗 的 最 當 地 的 民 情, 賣 著 生 鮮 蔬 果 還 有 傳 統 玩 物 與 樂 器 St Kilda beach 距 離 市 區 最 近 的 海 邊 有 許 多 蛋 糕 店 咖 啡 館, 澳 洲 人 午 後 開 了 一 罐 白 酒 坐 在 路 邊 閒 聊 著,Luna park 是 小 朋 友 的 夢 想 樂 園 走 了 很 多 的 路 不 停 的 為 自 己 在 澳 洲 添 加 不 同 的 回 憶 在 每 一 個 上 課 的 日 子 裡, 一 天 當 中 會 交 叉 的 聽 說 讀 寫 的 課 程 和 文 法 的 用 法,
還 有 專 題 報 告 需 要 和 同 組 的 同 學 一 起 分 工 合 作, 從 中 確 實 學 習 到 了 很 多 實 用 的 英 文 努 力 熟 記 好 英 文 單 字, 確 實 是 說 好 英 文 的 一 大 根 基 最 後, 經 過 這 一 個 月, 我 從 中 獲 益 了 許 多, 我 認 識 了 新 的 朋 友 來 自 世 界 各 地, 讓 自 己 的 眼 界 更 加 開 廣, 不 設 限 自 己 才 能 在 學 習 的 當 中 讓 自 己 變 的 更 優 秀 英 文 是 很 重 要 的 工 具 須 要 善 用 他, 努 力 的 學 習 研 讀 然 後, 用 來 與 人 溝 通, 往 後 持 續 的 學 習 是 必 須 的, 這 一 個 月 在 我 人 生 中 是 很 閃 亮 的, 也 是 一 個 新 的 開 端
DEAKIN UNIVERSITY REPORT From Jeng Yi 9879029a At the beginning, I was so excited about I got this change to go to Australia because this is my first experience to go aboard. After long distance flight we arrived at Australia. Hello Melbourne here I am this is what I want to said when finished our flight; I was not tired and so excited about following trip in Melbourne. When I saw my home stay host, she gave me a big warm hug and welcomed me to live at her home, her name is Joanne, she has lovely house with good decoration and excellent bedroom for me. Joanne taught me how to take tram to Deakin University and she accompanied with me to go to school at the first day. Tram, train and bus in Melbourne are very convenient and on time, so it is very good for tourist to travel in this city. In the school, I made friends from a lot of countries and we chatted with each other in English. I knew friends from Korea, although they are not very good at speaking, they are bravely talk to me in English, they are so powerful, friendly and polite to people. I m glad to meet them in Deakin campus. In my class GE5, we have classmate from Hong Kong, China, Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Columbia, and Sudan. We got various change to exercise speaking in the class. Through chatting with classmate we can know what`s their culture and their food in their countries, it is interesting. Teacher teach us grammar, how to do the correct sentence, and we have to learn speaking, listening, writing, reading in one day. I think through one month learning my ability has been improving, and speaking could more confidence. We have project about do our self monopoly, so we have to team working to work out project, also have individual report for teacher. We also have exclusion, this is about we find map in the internet and setting route for others group, and we have to do others group question, we have to take public transportation and take pictures in the destination. In one day I worked with my partner to doing project in the Burwood, it is tired because we have to spend a lot of time to find out and get to the destination, and finally we finished our project, we learn how to communication with classmate through doing the project. In the weekend, we had exclusion to several place. The first week we took long time to get to destination which was great ocean road, we almost took four hours in the shuttle to get to there, the scene was really beautiful and the weather in there is
wonderful, it is very suitable to spent whole afternoon lie in the meadow, we had been see the view in light house, and have good time with our friends there. Also, we are enjoy gorgeous nature view in the great ocean road, we don`t have chance to took helicopter; I think it must be very shocked by the views. Teacher who accompany us to there was treated us very well, so we really enjoy the journal except took too many times in the bus. The second trip we went to puffing Billy, we had delicious lunch box next to the lake, it is really relax for us and it`s good experience to took the old train there. The third trip was in Phillip Island, my home host told me that it got to feel freeze when we wait for the little penguin back home, and the true was really cold when we were waiting, when they back we could see they fast passed beach and going to find their home, sometimes it would cost them three or four hours to remember where is there home. Also we have food in Chinese restaurant, it taste really good, I think everyone all miss food in Taiwan even just passed three weeks time to study abroad. Except these trips we love to travel in the Melbourne downtown and find different things in Australia. We shopping everywhere, and went to outlet in the department, also I really enjoy exploring fresh experience in the Australia, we have been sky deck in Melbourne downtown, it was really beautiful I had ever seen, there was an experience could feel there was nothing and you could see people and cars in the street on the transparent elevator which is in the 88 floors. It was really interesting had those beautiful trip I had ever have. After this chance I feel fun and learning different things in different way, I think study aboard could really abroad your views and make different way to thinking, also made me want to study abroad again to challenge myself again, study abroad in Melbourne is one of amazing thing happen in my life.
出 國 前 與 在 墨 爾 本 的 第 一 個 禮 拜 2011 學 海 遊 學 - 迪 肯 大 學 團 中 文 心 得 報 告 許 琳 98 57a( 公 共 政 策 與 管 理 學 系 ) 還 記 得 得 知 自 己 可 以 去 學 海 的 消 息 是 同 學 轉 告 我 的, 當 時 既 驚 訝 又 開 心, 終 於 可 以 靠 自 己 的 力 量 出 國 看 看 外 面 的 世 界 了 經 過 一 連 串 的 程 序 後, 選 了 澳 洲 迪 肯 大 學 要 出 國 的 前 一 個 禮 拜, 陸 陸 續 續 把 東 西 放 在 行 李 箱 內, 當 時 抱 著 一 顆 既 期 待 又 怕 受 傷 害 的 心 情, 因 為 這 是 我 生 平 第 一 次 出 國 踏 入 小 港 機 場, 與 家 人 和 朋 友 道 別, 等 待 著 飛 機 起 飛, 隨 著 飛 機 的 加 速, 我 們 離 開 了 台 灣 第 一 次 坐 飛 機 第 一 次 吃 飛 機 上 的 食 物, 體 驗 隨 著 飛 機 起 飛 與 降 落 的 耳 鳴 生 活, 在 我 眼 裡 什 麼 事 都 很 新 鮮 在 香 港 與 阿 德 雷 德 轉 機, 經 過 了 10 個 小 時 的 飛 機 生 活, 終 於 到 了 墨
爾 本 出 機 場 後 被 巴 士 帶 到 了 迪 肯 大 學, 很 多 寄 宿 家 庭 的 家 長 等 待 著 我 們, 老 師 一 一 唱 名, 同 學 們 陸 陸 續 續 的 被 帶 走, 一 個 短 髮 俐 落 的 女 子 (Kate) 帶 著 兩 個 可 愛 的 小 妹 妹 (Alice&Lucy) 和 一 個 韓 國 同 學 (Sun), 就 是 我 的 寄 宿 家 庭 在 回 家 的 途 中,Kate 先 帶 我 們 去 公 車 站, 跟 我 們 解 釋 要 怎 麼 上 下 學, 然 後 回 到 家 中 Kate 跟 我 們 解 釋 一 些 規 定, 如 餐 前 要 幫 忙 擺 放 刀 子 與 叉 子 餐 後 要 幫 忙 擦 洗 鍋 子 一 人 只 有 四 分 鐘 的 洗 澡 時 間 洗 澡 前 要 記 得 把 毯 子 放 在 地 上 洗 澡 後 要 沖 洗 浴 缸 與 擦 洗 衛 浴 分 離 的 玻 璃 如 果 有 需 要 甜 點 或 點 心 請 自 行 去 購 買 等 規 定 第 一 天 的 晚 餐 讓 我 既 期 待 又 興 奮, 是 滷 雞 腿 蔬 菜 和 白 飯, 而 澳 洲 的 白 飯 是 細 細 長 長 又 扁 扁 的, 對 我 而 言 很 特 別 晚 餐 搭 配 著 Alice 喜 歡 的 音 樂, 我 們 度 過 愉 快 的 晚 上 飯 後 Alice 跳 著 他 在 學 校 學 的 舞 蹈, 我 和 Sun 一 起 共 同 欣 賞, 這 是 我 在 澳 洲 的 第 一 個 夜 晚 而 我 的 寄 宿 家 庭 父 親 (Blair) 是 從 紐 西 蘭 移 民 過 來 的, 他 為 人 很 親 切 真 的 很 開 心 能 跟 他 們 一 起 同 住 在 一 個 屋 簷 下 第 一 個 禮 拜 的 學 校 生 活, 基 本 上 都 在 認 識 校 園 與 同 學, 學 校 發 給 我 們 手 機 與 無 線 網 路 卡, 讓 我 們 可 以 互 相 聯 絡 下 課 後 我 們 大 家 約 一 約 去 了 chadstone shopping centre, 這 是 Kate 介 紹 的, 是 一 個 很 大 很 大 的 購 物 中 心, 在 途 中 我 們 不 知 道 到 哪 站 要 下 車, 但 藉 由 詢 問 公 車 上 的 乘 客 我 們 得 知 要 如 何 前 往, 而 賣 場 裡 面 東 西 種 類 很 多, 但 是 都 不 便 宜 第 一 個 禮 拜 的 假 日 學 校 安 排 了 大 洋 路 的 行 程, 坐 了 將 盡 快 四 小 時 的 公 車 才 到
達 大 洋 路, 路 途 的 蜿 蜒 讓 我 們 都 很 不 舒 服, 但 途 中 看 到 了 樹 上 的 無 尾 熊 與 路 邊 的 野 牛, 讓 我 們 很 興 奮 最 後 看 到 大 洋 路 的 風 景 後, 一 切 都 覺 得 很 值 得, 那 裡 的 風 景 讓 我 們 想 忘 都 忘 不 了 而 星 期 日 我 們 一 群 人 去 了 維 多 利 亞 市 場, 這 是 一 個 很 大 也 很 便 宜 的 批 發 市 場, 賣 的 東 西 大 致 上 都 很 類 似, 在 那 裡 我 們 買 了 很 多 紀 念 品 還 吃 了 很 有 名 的 果 醬 甜 甜 圈 上 課 方 式 這 裡 的 課 程 我 覺 得 很 特 別, 因 為 我 喜 歡 小 班 制 的 上 課 方 式, 在 互 動 的 過 程 中 我 們 可 以 學 到 很 多, 例 如 透 過 玩 些 小 遊 戲 辯 論 演 戲 等, 讓 我 們 有 機 會 可 以 和 同 學 互 動, 也 可 以 表 達 自 己 的 看 法 並 了 解 其 他 不 同 的 思 想 與 看 法 透 過 班 上 老 師 安 排 的 城 市 之 旅, 去 參 觀 Channel 7 和 ACMI(Australia centre for the moving image ), 讓 我 們 多 了 很 多 靈 感 去 製 作 我 們 的 電 影, 並 與 同 組 的 同 學 一 起 撰 寫 劇 本 剪 接 與 拍 攝 影 片, 從 中 學 習 到 很 多 班 上 的 同 學 來 自 許 多 不 同 的 國 家, 如 : 義 大 利 日 本 泰 國 韓 國 中 國 香 港 台 灣, 透 過 和 他 們 聊 天, 了 解 文 化 間 的 差 異, 也 交 到 了 許 多 朋 友 我 喜 歡 一 個 班 級 有 不 同 的 老 師, 像 我 們 班 就 有 兩 個 老 師, 透 過 不 同 老 師 的 教 課, 可 以 學 到 不 同 的 東 西

Buller Eureka Tower Doncaster Shopping Centre Chadstone Shopping Centre Flinders Street Square GPO DFO Melbourne Centre The Black Avenue St. Patrick's Cathedral St. killda beach Warribee Zoo Great Ocean Road Queen Victoria Market Channel 7 ACMI 等 讓 我 印 象 深 的 是 Eureka Tower, 這 是 一 個 88 層 樓 的 塔, 我 們 是 接 近 下 午 才 到 那 的, 進 去 塔 中 需 要 13 元 澳 幣, 到 達 最 高 樓 你 可 以 看 到 墨 爾 本 的 夜 景, 最 特 別 的 是 他 有 個 箱 子 會 從 88 層 樓 往 外 移 動, 而 這 個 箱 子 四 周 透 是 透 明 的 玻 璃, 如 果 要 進 去 觀 看 還 需 要 10 元 澳 幣, 我 覺 得 花 那 個 錢 很 值 得, 因 為 真 的 很 漂 亮 也 很 壯 觀 第 二 個 想 推 薦 的 是 Mt.Buller, 剛 好 我 們 去 澳 洲 是 冬 天, 所 以 可 以
去 滑 雪 賞 雪 堆 堆 雪 人, 對 於 沒 看 過 雪 的 我 就 覺 得 很 新 奇, 看 著 皚 白 色 的 雪 從 天 空 中 飄 落, 坐 著 沒 有 玻 璃 的 纜 車, 踏 著 厚 厚 的 雪 堆, 這 一 切 都 很 特 別 如 果 想 購 物 的 話, 超 級 推 薦 DFO, 他 是 個 outlet 的 購 物 中 心, 很 多 名 牌 商 品 與 運 動 商 品, 去 到 那 邊 一 定 會 滿 載 而 歸 而 St.Killda Beach 也 是 個 不 錯 的 地 方, 平 日 都 只 是 個 沙 灘, 附 近 有 一 條 很 有 名 的 蛋 糕 街, 而 星 期 日 比 較 特 別, 因 為 星 期 天 有 市 集, 有 很 多 手 工 的 東 西 可 以 選 購 那 條 蛋 糕 街 的 蛋 糕 都 很 精 緻, 也 很 好 吃, 不 過 有 點 甜 澳 洲 的 沙 灘 和 台 灣 的 大 不 相 同, 這 裡 的 沙 都 是 細 沙, 也 有 很 多 海 鷗 最 特 別 的 是 這 裡 有 個 小 型 的 遊 樂 園, 是 個 提 供 親 子 互 動 的 場 所, 但 是 這 裡 並 不 是 一 票 玩 到 底, 而 是 每 個 設 施 都 要 單 獨 購 票
文 化 澳 洲 的 房 子 大 部 分 都 只 有 一 層 樓, 裡 面 地 板 都 是 木 製, 擺 設 都 很 像 IKEA, 西 方 國 家 很 重 視 居 住 飲 食 與 休 閒, 像 是 墨 爾 本 的 商 店 一 般 都 只 開 到 五 點, 過 了 五 點 後 就 不 賣 了, 只 有 星 期 五 和 周 末 會 開 比 較 晚 澳 洲 和 台 灣 有 很 多 不 同, 像 是 過 馬 路 要 按 按 鈕 車 子 靠 左 邊 行 駛 駕 駛 座 在 右 邊 搭 公 車 和 電 車 與 火 車 只 需 要 用 同 一 張 卡 房 間 與 浴 室 和 廁 所 都 沒 有 鎖 水 龍 頭 的 水 可 以 直 接 喝 公 共 運 輸 都 很 準 時 衛 生 紙 直 接 丟 馬 桶 節 約 用 水 網 路 費 很 貴 房 子 的 架 構 垃 圾 只 要 用 桶 子 放 在 外 面 就 會 有 垃 圾 車 來 收 牛 奶 和 吐 司 很 便 宜, 還 有 很 多 露 天 咖 啡, 而 飲 食 也 有 很 大 的 不 同 如 : 喜 歡 微 波 食 物 很 多 商 品 都 是 直 接 微 波 就 可 以 吃 的 午 餐 都 是 三 明 治 巧 克 力 都 很 甜 澳 洲 很 多 事 情 都 跟 台 灣 不 同, 所 以 對 我 來 說 很 多 事 情 都 很 新 鮮, 值 得 一 提 的 是, 他 們 的 網 路, 跟

Deakin University Student number:9 7a Department:Public Policy And Management Name:Pei- Hsu Date:100.09.08 Before abroad and the first week in Melbourne I can't believe when I knew news that I can go abroad for study tour, and I was very excited and happy about that. After many process, I chose Deakin University of Australia. A week before went abroad, I put many things in my luggage and I was so excited, because it's my first time to go abroad. When I walked to the airport, I said goodbye to my family and my friends. Though speeding up of the airplane, we left Taiwan. It's my first time to take airplane and eat food on the airplane, so those are very fresh for me. After
transferring in Hong Kong and Adelaid, we arrived at Melbourne. When we left the airport, a bus picked us up to Deakin University, and many home stay families waited for us. Many of us took away by many families, and I saw a woman who has shot hair and brought two little girls, and they are my home stay family. On the way to go home, Kate took us to the bus station and taught us how to take bus to go to school and go home. After arriving home, Kate explained rules of home stay, for example helping to set up knives and forks before dinner, helping to wash dishes, four minutes shower for a person, putting carpet on ground before having bath, washing the bath after taking shower, you should buy some cookies if you want to eat and so on. First day's dinner was chickens with rice and vegetables, it was so delicious. Australia's rice is thin and flat. It's so different between Australia and Taiwan. Eating dinner with music that is Alice's favorite music is so special for me. After dinner, Alice danced to us and we had a nice night in Melbourne. On the other hand, my home father comes from New Zealand and he called Blair. I'm very happy to stay with them, and they are very kind. First week of Deakin University, in basically, teachers showed us buildings, and looked around the campus, and gave us mobiles and USB. It's good for us to contract with everybody. After school, we went to Chad stone Shopping Centre, Which introduced by my home mom and it's a very big shopping centre but things are not cheap. However, we
had no idea how to go to this shopping centre, so we asked people. I think that asking people something is good way for us to practice English. First holiday, we went to The Great Ocean Road and took bus for four hours to arrive there. We felt dizzy, because road was so wind, but on the way to get there, we saw many koalas and cows, and we were very excited. When we arrived there, we saw beautiful views that could take my breath away and beyond description. I couldn't forget those amazing views. Although took four hours to get there, it was so worth for me. And Sunday we went to Queen Victoria Market which is a huge market and sold many souvenirs. It's a good place for shopping. The special thing is a car parking at the market to sold donuts that inside has jam. It's delicious for me. The way of class The way of class is special for me, because I like small class. Small class have many benefits, because small class is good for us to learn more and learn well though some activities, for example playing small games, debating, act some roles and so on. Though that, we can not only know each other but also express our opinions. Besides, we can know other people's opinions and exchange different views. Though the city tour, we went to Channel 7 and ACMI and we got many inspirations to make our movie from city tour, and then we wrote scripts and made video and cut video together. From this homework, I learned many things.
Classmates in the same class from different countries, for example Italy, Japan, Thailand, Korea, China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Though chatting with different people from different countries and knowing different cultures and becoming good friends. Besides, I like different teachers teach us, because I can learn different things and culture from them. Traveling We have got many place in Melbourne, for example Puffing Billy Phillip island Lygon Street Melbourne Museum Royal Exhibition Building Old Melbourne Gaol Mt. Buller Eureka Tower Don caster Shopping Centre Chad stone Shopping Centre Flinders Street Square GPO DFO Melbourne Centre The Black Avenue St. Patrick's Cathedral St. killda beach Warribee Zoo Great Ocean Road Queen Victoria Market Channel 7 ACM and so on. Most impressed place is Eureka Tower which is eighty eight building and the price of entrance is thirty AU dollars and you can see night views of Melbourne. The most special thing is that a glace box will out off the top of building, but if you want to enter the box, you have to pay ten AU dollars. You can see the beautiful night view in a box, and I think that it's so worth to do that. Second place that I want to recommend is Mt Buller, because it's winter in Australia and it's a nice place to see snow, ski and heap up the snower. It's so special for me, because this is my first time to see snow and seat the cable car without glace. If you want to shopping, I really suggest you to go to DFO, Which is an outlet mall and sell many brands. In addition, St. Killda Beach is another nice
place, and normally it's a beach and has a cake street. However, it's different on Sunday, because there is a market which sells many hand-made things. Cakes of the cake street are exquisite and delicious, but so sweet. Also, different between Taiwan's beach and Australia's beach is that Australia's beach has fine sand and many seagulls. The most interesting thing is the amusement centre, because this place is small and provides for children. Culture Mostly, Australia's house just has one lab and inside is woods, and Australian places importance on life and leisure, like shops are closed on five o'clock pm in Melbourne, only Friday and weekend shops will close later. Many different things between Taiwan and Australia, for example if you want to cross the street, you should put on the button, using same ticket when you take tram, train, or bus, and bathroom and bedroom have no lockers, Internet's fees are expensive, milk and toast are cheap, and lunch is sandwich. To deserve to be mention is Internet, when I chat with Kate, she told me their Internet's fees are very expensive and not allow download too much things from the Internet. They pay same money for using Internet, but company of Internet just gives them definite flow rate. Conclusion It's so quickly for my trip in Australia. Firstly, I have long time in school, and eat
sandwich every day, so I want to go back to Taiwan in that time. However, when I adjust myself to new life, I don't want to go back to Taiwan. I very enjoyed the short time in Australia, and my friends and I went to many places in Melbourne. I have many good memories in Melbourne, if I have chance to choose what country I want to go, I will choose Australia again. Firstly, I didn't adjust myself to eat sandwich in everyday's lunch, and I thought that it's not enough for Asian. When I told to my home mom that sandwich was not enough for me, and she told me that Australian ate sandwich every lunch, because they thought lunch is a small meal and dinner will have big meal. They eat sandwich for lunch is not only lunch is a small meal but also for health. I like say good morning when I weak up, and say have a nice day when I left house to Kate and Blair. I also like chat with Blair and Kate, and share them that where did I go and what did I buy. On the other hand, I like that they will knock door before entering, and not intrude other people's privacy. I like the way of teaching, because their education's way is encouraging not hit, and they are not stop from what children want to learn. One of those things that I feel warm is that Blair will read story before kids go to sleep. I think it's so special, because it likes the action of story. I undergo a lot of experiences, including many first experiences during this month, and I
learn many new things and experience different cultures. I'm very glad to have this chance to go abroad. After this month, I have different view to watch this world and my future.

起 精 神, 專 心 集 中 注 意 力 在 課 堂 上, 也 會 努 力 的 想 話 題 與 分 組 夥 伴 聊 天, 讓 我 開 始 有 了 講 英 文 的 勇 氣 在 這 一 個 月 的 學 習 過 程 中, 最 讓 我 感 到 困 難 的 是 分 組 拍 影 片, 我 的 組 員 共 有 兩 男 兩 女, 一 個 男 生 來 自 泰 國, 另 一 個 是 上 海 人, 還 好 有 一 個 台 灣 女 生 跟 我 同 組, 讓 我 不 那 麼 害 怕 從 決 定 主 題 寫 劇 本 到 拍 攝 影 片, 全 部 都 要 由 我 們 自 己 討 論 和 製 作 在 台 灣 我 從 來 沒 有 這 種 經 驗, 但 是 我 的 組 員 們 都 很 幫 助 我, 我 們 的 影 片 主 題 是 關 於 每 個 國 家 有 不 同 的 飲 食 文 化, 經 由 這 份 作 業, 讓 我 學 到 該 怎 麼 與 來 自 不 同 國 家 的 人 用 英 文 溝 通 與 分 工 合 作, 也 認 識 了 泰 國 的 特 色 食 物 跟 吃 飯 習 慣 另 外 我 還 學 到 了 一 項 非 常 重 要 的 技 巧, 就 是 如 何 在 有 限 的 時 間 內 寫 出 一 篇 結 構 完 整 且 對 於 討 論 的 主 題 具 有 說 服 力 的 英 文 短 文, 我 想 這 對 我 將 來 的 英 文 寫 作 很 有 幫 助 老 師 們 也 要 求 我 們 每 天 都 要 寫 日 記, 我 想 這 是 為 了 讓 我 們 的 遊 學 之 旅 能 利 用 文 字 記 錄 下 美 好 的 回 憶, 也 讓 我 們 練 習 寫 作 吧! 在 一 個 禮 拜 的 課 程 安 排 中 更 是 有 四 小 時 的 ILC (Independent Learning Centre) 時 間, 有 別 於 台 灣, 在 那 些 時 段, 學 生 們 可 以 看 電 影 弄 電 腦 或 者 到 會 話 教 室, 我 們 很 常 到 會 話 教 室 玩 遊 戲, 雖 然 在 那 裡 只 能 說 英 文, 但 是 我 們 都 玩 得 很 開 心 四 美 麗 的 墨 爾 本 從 以 前 就 一 直 覺 得 墨 爾 本 是 個 很 漂 亮 的 城 市, 一 直 到 我 真 正 踏 上 這 個 地 方 之 後, 讓 我 深 深 的 愛 上 了 它 天 氣 多 變 的 墨 爾 本, 隨 處 可 聽 到 烏 鴉 的 叫 聲, 在 CITY 裡 現 代 與 古 典 的 建 築 比 鄰 相 對, 可 是 一 點 衝 突 感 都 沒 有, 在 CITY 的 十 字 路 口 處 都 會 有 身 穿 紅 色 外 套 的 人, 他 們 會 協 助 人 們 解 決 問 題, 在 路 旁 也 有 馬 車 可 讓 遊 客 坐 著 觀 光, 雖 然 在 市 區 裡 每 個 人 走 路 的 步 調 都 很 快, 但 還 是 可 以 感 受 到 外 國 人 那 種 享 受 生 活 的 感 覺, 不 像 在 台 灣 大 都 市 裡 那 種 緊 張 的 壓 迫 感 在 這 一 個 月 內, 學 校 每 個 禮 拜 六 都 會 帶 我 們 去 著 名 的 觀 光 景 點, 我 們 更 是 利 用 課 餘 時 間 及 星 期 日, 拿 著 交 通 地 圖 四 處 跑, 不 讓 我 們 的 澳 洲 之 旅 留 下 任 何 遺 憾 第 一 周 大 洋 路 (Great Ocean Road) 沿 路 的 海 岸 景 觀, 其 中 最 壯 觀 的 就 是 十 二 門 徒 石 (Twelve Apostles), 海 浪 日 復 一 日 的 拍 打 著 岩 石, 伴 隨 著 美 麗 的 落 日, 雖 然 天 氣 寒 冷, 但 是 美 不 勝 收 的 畫 面 令 我 印 象 深 刻 第 三 周 我 們 到 了 Puffing Billy, 第 一 次 搭 蒸 汽 小 火 車 的 感 覺 很 新 鮮, 一 路 上 美 麗 的 風 景 和 熱 情 打 招 呼 的 人 們, 讓 我 深 深 愛 上 了 這 個 城 市 第 四 周 學 校 帶 我 們 去 菲 利 普 島 (Phillip Island) 看 可 愛 的 神 仙 小 企 鵝, 那 天 早 上 外 面 下 著 滂 沱 大 雨, 讓 我 擔 心 不 能 玩 得 很 盡 興, 但 後 來 天 空 放 晴 了, 在 傍 晚 五 六 點 的 時 候, 遊 客 們 坐 在 沙 灘 上 的 看 台 等 待 小 企 鵝 們 上 岸, 第 一 次 近 距 離 看 到 企 鵝, 也 是 第 一 次 聽 到 企 鵝 的 叫 聲, 可 愛 的 小 企 鵝 令 我 印 象 深 刻 今 年 的 生 日 對 我 來 說 很 特 別, 第 一 次 在 國 外 過 生 日, 在 那 天 下 課 之 後, 我 們 到 CITY 裡 的 Eureka Skydeck, 從 88 樓 看 下 去 的 墨 爾 本, 燈 火 燦 爛 的 夜 景, 令 我 們 驚 呼 連 連, 雖 然 天 氣 真 的 冷 到 讓 人 直 發 抖, 但 是 大 家 仍 然 拿 著 相 機 努 力 記 錄 著 這 一 幕
在 墨 爾 本 也 有 很 多 便 宜 的 outlet 購 物 中 心, 最 具 代 表 性 的 Victoria Market 更 是 讓 我 印 象 深 刻, 那 個 市 場 很 像 台 灣 的 傳 統 市 場, 各 式 各 樣 的 食 物 和 生 活 用 品 應 有 盡 有, 只 要 用 心 逛 一 定 會 發 現 便 宜 的 寶 物! 五 總 結 一 個 月 的 時 間 說 長 不 長, 說 短 不 短, 對 於 學 習 英 語 的 我 們 來 說, 或 許 這 些 時 間 並 不 足, 但 是 在 寄 宿 家 庭 與 學 校 同 學 的 相 處 下 來, 讓 我 更 有 勇 氣 開 口 說 英 文, 也 讓 我 認 識 了 來 自 不 同 國 家 的 朋 友, 讓 我 今 年 的 暑 假 充 滿 美 麗 的 回 憶 在 我 離 開 前,home mom 跟 我 說 回 台 灣 後 還 是 要 練 習 英 文, 別 忘 記 英 文 這 個 語 言 生 活 在 墨 爾 本 的 那 幾 個 禮 拜, 英 文 變 成 了 我 生 活 中 的 一 部 分, 將 來 我 仍 然 會 努 力 充 實 自 己 的 英 文 能 力 很 感 謝 學 校 給 我 這 個 機 會 能 夠 出 國, 讓 我 遇 到 了 這 麼 棒 的 寄 宿 家 庭 和 室 友, 也 讓 我 在 這 個 暑 假 有 滿 滿 的 收 穫 過 得 如 此 精 彩
English report I was so happy that I got the scholarship to have a chance to learn English in Australia in this summer vacation. My family and friends were also very excited and congratulation to me. Before school told we choose where we want to go, I have been decided to go to Australia. Fortunately I really got the chance to study in Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia. In my impression Melbourne is a beautiful city. When I arrived the city I felt so excited because this is my first time abroad. Every thing was special to me. Before I go abroad, my family was worry about home stay. Because everyone in my group will be live in different home stay. My parents thought if I have any problems no one can help me because I can not speak good English. But actually I think that we were thought too much. My home stay is different from other friends they living. Because my home' structure is two floors and divided into two parts. One part is for home mom's parents and the other is where I living. The first day when I arrived school was grandfather and grandmother picked me up. At first I thought they were my home pa and home mom. But that was not true after I arrived our home. My home pa went to India for his work when I lived there after one day. My home mom is a teacher who teaching the dance of India. Her working time was not fixed. They don't have any child. Because my home mom said she
was enjoy the life with her husband. My grandfather and grandmother they also are home stay. So my lunch and dinner were prepared by my grandmother. My home mom was a famous dancer when she was young. Before I go back to Taiwan, she took my roommate and me to her academic. That was my first time saw India's dance. She also show the video when she was dancing. I felt so excited and I thought this kind of dance is very difficult. My roommate was came from Korea also arrived Melbourne same as me. She is twenty-two years old and she looked after me like a sister. Sometimes we were taught each other our country's language and lifestyle. The last night before I go back to Taiwan, I cooked some Chinese food to my home mom and my roommate's Korea friends. She also cooked Korea food for me. The flavor was so local and delicious. I still remember when I was already to go to airport, my roommate was very sad and kept crying. She was giving me a card. Inside the card she writing some Chinese words, I was so touched. Every day we went to grandmother's house to eat dinner. There have three boys in her house. One was come from Japan and the other two from Taiwan. The last night before they leave Melbourne, we took many pictures together. After two days another Japan girl came to grandmother's house. Although we just meet for one week, we still have good friendship.
Before I study in Deakin University, I was worried about that I can't understand what teacher said. Luckily there have four people in our group were in same class with me. Deakin University has wide campus and has a lot of Asia people study in there. Most of my classmates were all came from Asia countries. Only one girl came from Italy. In my class GE7/8 has two teachers. One teacher is like our mother, Leigh. Another tall and young teacher, Marija is like our friend. The first day I was very serious in class. I was little be can't understood what teacher said. But after few days, I have getting better. I felt the most difficult thing during study in Deakin was our group project. We have to write the script and film a movie by ourselves. Our topic was talking about different country have different food. According to this project, I learned how to communicate with people in English, I also knew the characteristics of Thai food and eating habits. Furthermore I have been learned a very useful skill is how to write a good essay in limited time. I think it will be helpful to me when I writing in the future. Everyday we need to write our journal after school. Write diary not only can help us record what happened in everyday in Melbourne, also can help us improve our writing skill. Study in Deakin, most specially program was ILC" (Independent Learning Centre). In that one hour, we can choose watching movies, playing computer or practicing speaking with teachers. The last day we study in Deakin, we have some test. I think I failed the speaking test. After finished
all test, we took many pictures with our classmates. We got along with one month. In that time I can felt everyone was sad. I was so happy I can be their classmates. Now we also contact in Facebook. Melbourne weather is easy changeable, and I can hear the calls of crows everywhere. Modern and classical architectures are relatively near in city, but there is no sense of conflict. Although everyone was fast walking in City, but I still can felt that foreigners enjoy the feeling of life, it's not like the tension of pressure in the Taiwan capital. School took our I-SHOU study tour to some famous tourist attractions in every Saturday. My friends and I always took the traffic map after we finished school or Sunday. We don't want to leave any regrets after we go back to Taiwan. The first weekend school took us to The Great Ocean Road". The one of the most spectacular landscape along the coast is Twelve Apostles". Although the weather was cold, but I still deeply remember the spectacular scenery in my mind. Next Saturday we went to Puffing Billy" to take the steam train. I was so excited because this was my first time to take steam train. The scenery was very beautiful and the people who waved their hand enthusiastic to us. That is why I so like the beauty city. On week four, we went to Phillip Island" to saw the cute little penguins. Actually before we went to Phillip Island, it was has heavy rain in that morning. I was very worried that maybe we can't have fun when we see the penguins. Luckily, the sky
cleared up before we arrived Phillip Island. All visitors sit on the beach stands to waiting for the small penguins ashore to go back to their home to have a good sleep. I was first time to saw the penguins so close and also was first time to hear the calls of penguins. Then we have dinner in Chinese Restaurant. Everyone was missed Chinese food. Each food was so delicious. I was very happy in that day. This year's birthday was very special for me. I celebrated my nineteen years old in Melbourne. In that day, we went to Eureka Skydeck" which is the tallest building in Melbourne. The night view looked down from eighty-eight floor was very beautiful. Every one who saw the view was feel amazing. Although the weather was really cold to people shivering, every one still holding the camera to record this unforgettable scene. There also have many cheap outlet shopping centers in Melbourne. The famous tourist attractions Victoria Market" is like the traditional market in Taiwan. There sold variety of food and household item. My friends and I were buying T-shirt which clothes have printed Australia or Melbourne picture at Victoria Market. As long as you pay attention if shopping in there, you will find some cheap and useful treasures. In Melbourne have many special and beautiful tourist attractions. The view was I never seen in Taiwan. If I have a chance, I still want to go to Melbourne again. I really love the lovely city. One month is not long but it is also not short. Maybe four weeks to us to learn
English in Melbourne is not enough. But I have more courage to speak English after I got along with the home stay and classmates in Deakin. My summer vacation in this year was has many wonderful memories. I also meet some friends who came from different country. Before I leave Melbourne, my home mom was told me I still need to practice English after I go back to my country and don't forget the language. English was become a part of my life when I living in Melbourne. Actually I am not afraid English and really like the language now. I will efforts to enrich my English ability in the future. I am so happy that I-SHOU University provided the scholarship to me and let me have the chance to abroad to Australia. I still remember everything happened in Melbourne. I am so pleasure that I have such kind home stay and great roommate. I think I have full harvest and have splendid memories in this summer vacation.
