The scholarship winner shall begin the study in the beginning of September 2015, and the duration of scholarship is two academic years. The applicant should have a bachelor degree or its equivalent, get a score of at least 180 on the HSK (level 5) and a score of at least 50 on the HSKK (intermediate level), or a score of at least 180 on the BCT (B) and a score of at least 260 on the BCT(speaking), and make a written commitment stating that he/she will be engaged in Chinese language teaching for at least 5 years after graduation. Applicants shall sign agreements with the Confucius Institute or with the institutes at which they will be teaching Chinese language. Applicants are required to have bachelor degree or its equivalent, a score of at least 180 on the HSK (level 3) and a score of at least 60 on the HSKK (primary level), or a score of at least 180 on the BCT (A) and a score of at least 180 on the BCT (speaking). Scholarship winners will major in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages. Time of enrollment for scholarship winners is the beginning of September 2015; the duration is four academic years. Applicants should have a high school degree or above and meanwhile get no less than 180 scores in HSK (level 3) and at least 40 scores in HSKK (intermediate level) or get no less than 180 scores in BCT (A) and at least 220 in BCT (speaking). At the end of the first academic year, those who pass the annual appraisal and get a score of at least 180 on the HSK (level 5), 3

The scholarship winner may choose to study in majors including Chinese Language and Literature and Chinese History. The time of entrance is September 2015 or March 2016 and the grant term is one semester. Applicants should achieve a score of at least 120 on the HSK (level 2) and at 4
least 40 on the HSKK (primary level) or a score of at least 100 on the BCT (A) and a score of at least 120 on the BCT(speaking).. 类 别 5. 四 周 研 修 生 定 向 为 部 分 孔 子 学 院 ( 课 堂 ) 学 员 提 供, 以 语 言 研 修 为 主, 辅 以 文 化 考 察, 入 学 时 间 为 2015 年 7 至 8 月, 资 助 期 限 为 四 周 申 请 者 需 参 加 HSK 或 BCT 并 提 交 成 绩 报 告, 无 来 华 留 学 经 历 汉 办 将 根 据 四 周 研 修 生 汉 语 水 平 调 剂 安 排 在 指 定 接 收 院 校 集 中 学 习 Program 5: Scholarship for Four-week Students The scholarship is oriented at excellent students of Confucius Institutes (Classrooms). In addition to Chinese language training, which is the main purpose of this program, Chinese culture experience activities are also included. The time of entrance is July or August 2015 and the grant term is four weeks. Applicants should take the HSK or BCT exams, and submit the result report and have no study experience in China. Hanban will arrange concentrate study for the students in the designated Chinese institutions according to their Chinese language proficiency. 二 奖 学 金 资 助 范 围 及 标 准 II. Scholarship Coverage and Criteria 资 助 范 围 包 括 : 学 费 基 本 教 材 费 生 活 费, 提 供 校 内 住 宿 门 诊 医 疗 服 务 和 来 华 留 学 生 综 合 保 险 生 活 费 标 准 : 本 科 生 一 学 期 和 一 学 年 研 修 生 为 人 民 币 2500 元 / 月 ; 汉 语 国 际 教 育 专 业 硕 士 生 为 人 民 币 3000 元 / 月 Scholarship Coverage: tuition fees, fees for basic learning materials, accommodation fees on campus, and monthly living allowance, outpatient medical service and comprehensive insurance for foreign students studying in China. Monthly living allowances are provided at the following rates (CNY Yuan per month): a. CNY 2,500 for Bachelors, One-Academic-Year Students and One-Semester Students. b. register for an individual account, read information and introduction of host institutes and majors, complete and submit the Confucius Institute Scholarship Application Form online. College students majored in Chinese in countries with no Confucius Institutes shall submit a reference letter signed and issued by the university President. 7. 未 满 18 周 岁 的 申 请 者, 须 提 交 在 华 法 定 监 护 人 署 名 的 委 托 证 明 文 件 Applications under the age of 18 shall submit relevant legal documents signed by entrusted legal guardians in China. 6
8. 汉 语 桥 世 界 大 中 学 生 中 文 比 赛 获 奖 者 须 提 供 汉 办 的 奖 学 金 证 书 各 国 分 赛 区 优 胜 者 须 提 供 获 奖 证 明 和 赛 区 主 办 单 位 出 具 的 推 荐 函 Winners of the finals of the Chinese Bridge Chinese Proficiency Competitions for Foreign College Students and for Foreign High School Students in China shall submit the scholarship certificate.
