1 Welcome to Gu s Szechuan cuisine is noted for its bold flavors through the use of spices such as garlic and chili peppers, and of course the famous Szechuan peppercorn. The Szechuan peppercorn has a unique flavor that creates a tingling sensation in your mouth, and as a result, many Szechuan dishes are spicy. To fully enjoy Szechuan cuisine, it is highly recommended to order a mixture of spicy and nonspicy dishes that are shared among the members of your party (Family Style). Each dish is freshly made by our expert Chefs, Chef Gu and Chef Zhang, his wife. Natives of the birthplace of Szechuan cuisine, Chengdu, Szechuan province in southwestern China, Chef Gu and his wife bring a combined 70 years of culinary experience to Gu s Bistro s kitchen. Chef Gu and his wife do not use MSG in the preparation of any of the dishes, as the flavors come from the use of high quality ingredients. Please accept our apologies in advance if all dishes ordered are not delivered simultaneously. Each dish is prepared individually and is sent out as soon as it is ready.
