ZirconU-PbDatingandGeologicalSignificanceofthe BiotiteMonzoniticGranitefrom YiminAreainInnerMongolia Hu Hongfei 1,WangFang 1,ZangJinqian 2,LiuFeng 2,CheYan an 3 (1.HebeiGEO University,Shijiazhuang050031,China;2.ShandongInstituteof Geophysical& GeochemicalExploration,Jinan250013,China; 3.The4thGeologyBrigadeofHebeiProvinceBureauofGeology & Mineral, ChengdeHebei067000,China) Abstract:Thispaperreportsthezircon U-Pbgeochronologicalandpetrogeochemicaldataofthebiotite- monzoniticgranitein Yiminareaforthefirsttime.AnalysisresultsshowthatYiminbiotite monzonitic granitehasthegeochemicalcharacteristicsofhighsilica (68.32% -70.62%),alkalirich (Na 2O+K 2O= 7.79%-9.01%),andpoorin CaO(0.89% -2.51%),MgO(0.80% -1.30%)andP 2O 5 (0.16% - 0.23%).ThevaluesofA/CNKandA/NKarebetween0.99-1.08and1.22-1.42respectively,belong- ingto metaluminous-peraluminouscalc-alkaline series.the contents ofthetotalrare earth elements ( REE)inbiotitemonzoniticgranitearelow,withremarkablefractionationbetweenlightrareearthele- mentsandheavyrareearthelements( LREE/ HREE=13.35-16.19),butwithnoobviousEuandCe anomalies.thetraceelementcontentsdisplayenrichmentink,rb,th,ba,srandlree,relativelydeple- tedinu,ti,laandce.withaltheabovegeologicalfeatures,thebiotitemonzoniticgranitehasthecharac- teristicsofi-typegranite.zirconla-icp-ms U-Pbdatingresultssuggestthatthegranitewasformedat (303.3±2)Ma,whichwasaproductofLateCarboniferousmagmatism.Hfisotopicdatashowthatithas highεhf(t)values(+9.20to+15.89),thecorrespondingtwostagemodelages(t DM2 )clusteredin700-500 Ma.Thisreflectstheoriginofthebiotite monzoniticgranite magma wasderivedfrom thecrustal growthinneoproterozoic.thebiotitemonzoniticgranitewasformedinthepost-colisionextensionenvi- ronmentofxing anblockandsongnenblock.
