Disposal 6 Warning Prior to installation, study the Quick Guide carefully. Installation and operation must comply with local regulations and accepted codes of good practice. 2. System sizing Caution Warning The system in which the CME Booster is incorporated must be designed for the maximum pump pressure. The default setting will cause the pump not to stop until it reaches its maximum pressure. 3. Mechanical installation Warning Before starting any work on the CME Booster, make sure that the power supply has been switched off and that it cannot be accidentally switched on. 4. Electrical connection The electrical connection should be carried out by an authorized electrician in accordance with local regulations. Warning The use of this product requires experience with and knowledge of the product. Persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities must not use this product, unless they are under supervision or have been instructed in the use of the product by a person responsible for their safety. Children must not use or play with this product. 1. Symbols used in this document Caution Warning If these safety instructions are not observed, it may result in personal injury. If these safety instructions are not observed, it may result in malfunction or damage to the equipment. 5. Startup Warning Check that the supply voltage and frequency match the voltage and frequency on the nameplate. Warning Before making any connections in the unit, make sure that the power supply has been switched off and that it cannot be accidentally switched on. The unit must be connected to an external mains switch with a contact gap of at least 3 mm in all poles. As a precaution, the unit must be connected to a socket with earth connection. It is recommended to fit the permanent installation with an earth leakage circuit breaker (ELCB) with a tripping current < 30 ma. Note Notes or instructions that make the job easier and ensure safe operation. Caution Do not start the pump until it has been filled with liquid. 4

5 6. Control panel The pump control panel, see fig. 1, incorporates the following buttons and indicator lights: Buttons, and, for setpoint setting. Light fields, yellow, for indication of setpoint. Indicator lights, green (operation) and red (fault). Set the desired setpoint by pressing button or. The light fields on the control panel will indicate the setpoint set. Continuously pressing button will stop the pump. Continuously pressing button will increase setpoint to max. In case of non-critical faults allowing continued operation of the pump, both the red and green indicator lights will be on. In case of a critical fault stopping the pump, only the red indicator light will be on. TM Ambient temperature and altitude If the ambient temperature exceeds +40 C or if the pump is installed more than 1000 m above sea level, the motor must not be fully loaded due to the low density and consequently low cooling effect of the air. In such cases, it may be necessary to use a motor with a higher output. Figure 2 shows that the load of a CME Booster must be reduced to 88 % when installed 3500 m above sea level. At an ambient temperature of 70 C, the load must be reduced to 78 % of rated output. In such situations, use an oversize motor. Pompa harus dihubungkan ke saklar listrik eksternal dengan jarak pisah setidaknya 3 mm antar kutub-kutubnya. Sebagai tindak pencegahan, alat harus dihubungkan pada stop kontak yang dilengkapi konduktor ke tanah (ground). Disarankan agar instalasi permanen dilengkapi dengan Earth Leakable Circuit Breaker (ELCB)/pengaman terhadap sengatan arus listrik dengan arus kerja < 30 ma. Dalam kondisi sedemikian, mungkin perlu untuk menggunakan motor bertenaga lebih besar. Gambar 2 menunjukan bahwa kapasitas tenaga pompa CME Booster akan berkurang hingga 88 % saat dipasang pada ketinggian 3500 m diatas permukaan laut. Pada temperatur ruangan 70 C, kerja motor harus dikurangi hingga 78 % dari yang kapasitas pengoperasian normal. Dalam kondisi sedemikian, gunakan motor bertenaga lebih besar.
