Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, while practicing the profound prajnaparamita, clearly looked into the five aggregates, and seeing them as all being empty, thusly overcame all ills and dissatisfaction. Sariputra! Form is no different than emptiness, emptiness is no different than form; form is just emptiness, emptiness is just form; and so too are sensation, perception, volition, and cognition. Sariputra! This is the characteristic emptiness of all dharmas: they neither arise nor cease, are neither impure nor pure, neither increase nor decrease. Therefore, in emptiness, there is no form, no sensation, perception, volition nor cognition; no eye, ear, nose, tongue, body nor mind; no form, sound, scent, taste, touchable nor mental object; no visual objects, up to, no mental cognition; no ignorance and no ending of ignorance, up to, no aging and death and no ending of aging and death; no dissatisfaction, origination, cessation or path; no wisdom and also no attainment. By the absence of attainment, bodhisattvas, from having relied on prajnaparamita, have no mental hindrances; because there are no hindrances, they have no fear nor terror; they are far removed from inverted views and dream-like delusions, and ultimately reach nirvāṇa. All buddhas of all times, from having relied on prajnaparamita, thusly attain anuttara-samyak-sambodhi. Therefore, know that prajnaparamita is the great spiritual mantra, the great enlightening mantra, the unexcelled mantra, the unequaled mantra; able to dispel all suffering, it is true, not deceptive. Thus, the prajnaparamita mantra is proclaimed, and discoursed in this way: gate gate paragate parasaṃgate bodhi svaha! *Mo He Bo Re Bo Luo Mi Duo 摩訶般若波羅蜜多 (*Repeat 3 times) ( 三稱 ) Maha-prajna-paramita 5

Mei Ji Yu Hao Guang Can Lan 眉際玉毫光燦爛 The radiance of his jade curl between his brows is resplendent. Zhao Kai Liu Dao Hun Meng 照開六道昏蒙 It shines through the darkness of the six paths. *Long Hua San Hui Yuan Xiang Feng 龍華三會願相逢 Yan Shou Fa Zhen Zong 演說法真宗 In the Three Dragon-flower Assemblies, we wish to meet again, when the true school of the Dharma will be preached. 6

Ci Shi Se Xiang Wei Shang Gong Shi Fang Fo 此食色香味 上供十方佛 Zhong Feng Zhu Sheng Xian Xia Ji Liu Dao Pin 中奉諸聖賢 下及六道品 These foods with wonderful appearance, aroma, and flavor are offered to the Buddhas of the ten directions, to all the sacred and wise ones, and to those within the six realms Deng Shi Wu Cha Bie Sui Yuan Jie Bao Man 等施無差別 隨願皆飽滿 to be given without distinction or discrimination, satisfying and fulfilling according to the wishes of each. Ling Jin Shi Zhe De Wu Liang Po Luo Mi 令今施者得 無量波羅密 For all who have contributed, they will acquire immeasurable perfections. San De Liu Wei Gong Fo Ji Seng 三德六味 供佛及僧 Three virtues and six flavors are offered to the Buddha and the Sangha Fa Jie You Qing Pu Tong Gong Yang 法界有情 普同供養 and to the sentient beings of the dharma realms.
