4 什么是接入网络? 接入网在电信网络中负责连接终端用户, 以及他们和他们的网络运营商 接入网络常用的拓扑结构 : 星形结构 总线结构 环状结构和树形结构 接入网的设计要点 : 成本 Core
5 接入网中用户之间的通信方式 To be efficient, the bandwidth allocation among nodes must be managed dynamically Pre-transmission coordination Fixed Assignment, Partial fixed assignment Carrier sense random access No pre-transmission coordination: ALOHA, slotted ALOHA Network interface: Tunable Transmitter(s) and Fixed Receiver(s): TT-FR Fixed Transmitter(s) and Fixed Receiver(s): FF-FR
6 Fixed Assignment Resource allocation is achieved with WDM + TDM Time is divided into time slots. It is predetermined at which time slot over what WDM channel a pair of nodes is allowed to communicate. Resource allocation is based on the traffic matrix, i.e., the matrix to indicate the traffic load between each node pair. Uniform traffic, non-uniform traffic Collisions: Channel Collisions, Receiver Collisions Fixed assignment can avoid both channel and receiver collisions, but it is not efficient and cannot adapt to dynamic traffic variations.
7 Partial Fixed Assignment Introduce statistical multiplexing in the resource allocation. One example, a node can receive from a fixed wavelength channel, but more than one nodes can use the channel to transmit data to it in the same time slot. Since there is a dedicated wavelength channel being assigned to each node s receiver, there is no receiver collision in this scheme. Since multiple nodes may compete one wavelength channel for transmitting data, there is channel collision in this scheme.
8 Carrier Sense Multiple Access (CSMA) 1-Persistent CSMA Sense a busy channel => Wait until it becomes idle Sense an idle channel => Transmit A collision happens => Wait a random time and retransmit Non-Persistent Sense a busy channel => Wait a random time to redo sensing. Sense an idle channel => Transmit p-persistent CSMA Sense a busy channel => Wait a random time to redo sensing. Sense an idle channel => Flip a coin, p possibility to transmit data and 1-p possibility to defer transmission.
9 CSMA with Collision Detection (CSMA/CD) 1-Persistent CSMA and uses a jamming signal to tell everybody there is a collision.
10 ALOHA When a node has a packet to transmit, it sends it right away. There is no need for dividing time into slots and no need for using fixed packet length. There will be a collision, if the previous transmission is not yet finished or the next transmission starts too soon. When there is a collision, the backlogged packet is retransmitted after an exponentially distributed random delay.
11 Slotted ALOHA Time is divided into fixed-size slots. When a node has a packet to transmit, it waits until the start of the next slot to transmit. When there is a collision, the backlogged packet is retransmitted after an exponentially distributed random delay. Slotted ALOHA requires synchronization between the nodes.

16 HFC 接入网的特点 HFC 网络的传输介质是由光纤和同轴电缆混合组成的 HFC 网络是有线电视网络和数据网络结合的产物 局端把电视信号和数据信号综合在一起, 利用光载波将其传送到靠近用户的光节点上, 光节点将信号转换成电调制格式, 再利用同轴电缆将其传送到用户处 HFC 网络利用频分复用的方式将电视信号和数据信号包括在 6 MHz 或 8 MHz 的模拟信道中传送 通信分为上行 (Upstream, 用户 = 局端) 和下行 ( Downstream, 局端 = 用户) 两个方向, 两个方向的通信在同轴电缆上占用不同频谱 Upstream: 5 ~ 42 MHz Downstream: 50 MHz ~

24 铜线接入网 铜线接入又称之为 DSL(Digital Subscriber Line) 接入方式, 其利用现有电话网络的双绞线 ( 铜线 ) 为用户同时提供语音和数据服务 在 DSL 网络中, 每个用户具有一个 DSL Modem, 它通过程控电话交换网和运营商 Central Office 中的 DSL Access Multiplexer(DSLAM) 相连 每个 DSLAM 可以支持很多个 DSL Modem DSL 服务性能和用户距离相关 DSL 通过不同的频谱为用户提供电话语音和数据服务, 在用户端需要通过滤波来防止数据服务干扰语音服务 当前有两种 DSL 服务 : 对称 DSL( 上下行速率相等 ):SDSL 非对称 DSL( 下行速率 > 上行速率 ):ADSL
