1 香港紅十字會甘迺迪中心 Hong Kong Red Cross John F. Kennedy Centre Principal s Message We have been providing our physically impaired students with a high quality learning and teaching environment, which is evidenced by the high praise given to us from the External School Review conducted by the EDB last year. This speaks volumes about our collective commitment towards serving our students and the high caliber of our staff and also the students themselves. However, our professional team will not stop here but will keep raising the bar higher. This year, our school vision has been defined. Our new School Development Plan for aims to captitalise on our strengths and take us to new heights. In addition to raising our learning and teaching effectiveness, we aim to nurture our students to fill them with full confidence and better help them lead a fruitful life. Our Life Education Committee has started to solidify our goal to create a life education friendly school campus and has extended our connections to careers training-related organisations. We have also experienced an extraordinary term of exciting achievements since last September. On the academic front, our student Tse Pui Ting got The Outstanding Disabled Student Award; whilst Lau Wing Cheong got The Best Progress Award in the 34th Shell / Island JC Scholarship for the Disabled. Lau Tsz Hong was awarded an Applied Learning Scholarship granted by the EDB. On the artistic front, our dance team got an award for the most beautiful form of visual effect in the 3rd Hong Kong Thanksgiving Day Talent Show. Our primary students participated in the EU Calendar Drawing Competition 2016 organized by European Union in Hong Kong and Macao and the Native-speaking English Teacher (NET) Section of the EDB. Chow Po Yiu got the Best Country Drawing of Ireland; Chan Man Li got the Best Country Drawing of the United Kingdom and School Winner. Wong Fui Kay got the Best Country Drawing of Romania; and Lok Hiu Ching got the Best Country Drawing of Hungary. These achievements could not have been attained were it not for the close working relationship existing among all our different school stakeholders. I would like to take this opportunity to express my whole-hearted thanks to all persons who have walked and continue walking with JFK throughout its 49 years and who, to date, continue to provide their unwavering support to us. EU Consulates Visit On 14th September, 2015, the representatives of European Union (EU), Hungary Consulate, United Kingdom Consulate, Ireland Consulate, Romania Consulate and the NET Section visited our school and had an assembly with our primary students 李靜雯校長香港浸會大學學生探訪 10 月中旬,60 位來自香港浸會大學運動及康樂系的二年級學生到訪本校透過這次的探訪, 他們認識了身體弱能學校的治療服務, 同時也加深了對身體弱能兒童特殊需要的了解, 提升了社會不同人士對這些同學的關注 HKBU Students Visit On 15th October, 2015, 60 second year students from the Hong Kong Baptist University Sport and Recreation Leadership (SRL) visited the school. 3 4 5 李徐子淇到校探訪李徐子淇於一月二十七日連同她的團隊到我校探訪當日, 李太欣賞了輪椅舞校隊的精采演出, 也觀看了各項體育項目的表演示範, 及與她的孩子參與了我校其中一個課外活動小小農夫, 體驗一下種植的樂趣李太向學生表達了對同學們的才華及樂觀精神的欣賞, 更非常關心同學的學習環境當日談訪後, 李太主動提出捐款修葺連接主樓和新翼的天橋, 讓同學在最安全的環境下學習李太更表示希望將來能再次探訪學校 Cathy Lee Tsui Chi-kei s Visit Mrs Lee and her team visited our school on 27th January, She watched the performances of our sports team and wheelchair dance team, as well as took part in our extracurricular activities, showing great appreciation for our students talents and endeavors. She has pledged a donation to repair our footbridge to safeguard the safety of our students. She cares about our students very much and would like to visit us in the near future. She was enchanted by our multifarious extra-curricular activities, and most importantly, the great talents and achievements of our students. 4 6 7 仁川青年交流計劃學員探訪 1月中旬 17位來自韓國的師生探訪本校與本校的高年探訪 Visits 級學生進行了一次文化交流會議這次的交流活動讓本校的學生建立了跨國友誼是一次寶貴的交流 The Incheon Youth Exchange Program Visit 獎項 Awards 15 Korean students, 2 teachers and 1 staff member from Hong Kong Red Cross visited our school on 19th January, They took a school tour and joined a cultural exchange session with our senior form students. It was a good opportunity for JFK students to have contact with and talk to foreign students. 立已達人自強再生 A caring culture paves the way for dignity 2015年度再生勇士獎項 Regeneration Warriors of 2015 本校畢業生譚永亨同學於恆生銀行及再生會聯合舉辦的 On 13th September, 2015, our past student Tam Wing Hang got the Regeneration Warriors of 2015 in the 18th Top Ten Regeneration Warriors Competition organized by Hang Seng Bank and the Regeneration Society. 第18屆十大再生勇士選舉中獲得年度再生勇士獎探訪香港耀能協會樂華宿舍 Visit to SAHK Lok Wah Hostel 為了解校友們的院舍生活一眾職員到訪樂華宿舍探訪 In order to understand the daily life of the alumni in hostel, Principal Lee, the school social worker Mr. Lo and former social worker Mr. Wong visited SAHK Lok Wah Hostel on 30th January, The updates on of JFK were communicated during the visit as well. 畢業校友關心他們的近況校友也熱切地希望知道本校的最新發展探訪活動在一片溫情中結束了享及家人開心合照 Hang s parents and sister are proud of his perseverance.

We were glad to have our alumnus, Mr. Kwok Lap-chun, Andrew, as our guest of honour to officiate and present the prizes at the ceremony. His speech inspired everyone. We also invited a number of supportive guests and alumni to join our prize giving ceremony. On 14th December 2015, an Inter-class Christmas Singing Contest was held in the School Hall. Students and staff put on clothing and accessories with a Christmas theme, and performed on their own instruments and sang

They visited the Club, enjoyed a buffet party and watched the magnificent 2016 Lunar New Year Fireworks Display with a perfect view.
