Furthermore the metabolic pathways and mechanisms of typical PPCPs in fish were illustrated. Finally the future research directions including a study of bioaccumulation of PPCPs transfer process of PPCPs along the food chain and metabolism of PPCPs in aquatic environment were suggested.
