8 Safety Instructions To avoid the risk of accidents and daage to the appliance, please read these instructions carefully before installation and using it for the first tie. They contain iportant notes on installation, safety, operation and care. Keep this anual in a safe place and ensure that new users are failiar with the instructions. Pass the on to any future owner. Safety Precautions All operations including installations, repairs, aintenance, gas and electrical connection or conversion to other types of gas ust be carried out by a suitably qualified and copetent person as set out by the local gas and electricity providers. Ensure that t h e roo has sufficient natural or echanical eans of ventilation, e.g. an extractor. If the hob is used for very long periods of tie additional ventilation of the roo ay be necessary, e.g. by opening windows or doors, or running the extractor on the highest setting. This gas hob is not designed for coercial or professional use. It is only intended for use in doestic households. Any other usage of the appliance other than the purpose in which it is designed for could void the warranty. Never open the outer casing of the appliance. Tapering with electrical connections or coponents and echanical parts is highly dangerous to the user and can cause operational faults The surfaces of cooking appliances heat up during use. Care ust be taken when using these appliances. Keep children well away fro this appliance. Fats or oil which is overheated can catch fire easily. Do not leave oil or fats to heat up unattended. If oil or fats do catch fire, never use water to put the fire out. Put the fire out by covering the pan with a lid and switch off the appliance. Otherwise flaes could reach the cooker hood, parts of which could then be daaged or set on fire. Do not store flaable aterial under a cooker hood. The flaes could set the cooker hood on fire. Do not use the appliance as a resting place for anything else. The article could elt or catch fire if residual heat is still present or if the appliance is switched on by istake. This could result in injury and scalding or daage. Make sure all the coponents of the gas burners have been correctly assebled before switching on. Pans ust be the correct size for the burner they are used on (see "Suitable pans"). A pan which is too sall will be unstable on the pan support. If the pan diaeter is too large, flaes can spread out to the sides and daage or burn the worktop, wall claddings or surrounding units and also parts of the hob. Connection to the gas supply ust be carried out by a suitably qualified and copetent person in strict accordance with current local safety regulations For safety reasons, this appliance ay only be used when it has been built in. Installation, aintenance a n d repairs ay only be carried out by a suitably qualified and copetent person in strict accordance with current local safety regulations. During installation, aintenance and repair work, the appliance ust be disconnected fro the gas supply and ains electricity supply. While the appliance is under warranty, repairs should only be undertaken by a service technician authorised by Rinnai. Otherwise the guarantee is invalidated Faulty coponents ust only be replaced with genuine original spare parts. The anufacturer can only guarantee the safety of the appliance when original replaceent parts are used. Never leave the appliance unattended during operation. 10 Using for the first tie 安装指引 Reove any protective f o i and l adhesive labels. Clean all reovable parts of the burners with a solution of war water and a little washing-up liquid applied with a soft sponge. Dry all parts thoroughly after cleaning and then reasseble the burners (see "Cleaning and care"). 接电 Fig 6 & Fig7 RB-7S / RB-7G / RB-9G Clean the stainless steel trough with a dap cloth, and then wipe dry. The etal coponents have a protective coating which ay give off a slight sell when heated up for the first tie. Before you begin, turn off the appliance's electricity and gas supply. You are recoended to contact your local Rinnai Custoer Care Centres to convert to another type of gas. The units next to the appliance ust be ade of non-flaable aterials. The lainated covering and glue for adhering it ust be heat resistant. This appliance cannot b e installed above fridges, washing achines, and dish washer or siilar. An oven ust have a power cooling fan to install a hob above it. Check the oven's diensions in its installation anual. If a cooker hood is installed, you ust follow the installation anual's instructions, always keeping a iniu distance of 550 to the hob. It is recoendable to place a non-flaable separator (e.g. etal or plywood) 0 fro the botto of the hob. This will prevent access to the base of the hob. On wood work surfaces, varnish the cutting surfaces with a special glue. This protects the fro oisture which could collect under the work surface. Installation of Appliance The adhesive seal ( u n d e r s of i d the e hob) are factory-fitted: do not under any circustances reove the. The seal ensures that the entire work surface will be watertight, and prevents water seepage. In order to fit the appliance into the kitchen unit, first place the hob in the correct position. Insert and centre the hob. Press the sides of the hob until it is s u p p o r around t e d its entire perieter. Operating The gas supply is turned off Max Flae Min Flae The control for the burner required ust be pressed down and turned anti-clockwise to the large flae sybol in order to operate. Pressing a burner control will autoatically create a spark on all burners. The ignition device should not be operated for ore than 5 seconds. If after 5 seconds, the burner still did not lit up, please release and do not operate. Wait for at least inute before attepting to re-ignite it, press down and hold the control for longer if required If the burner fail to ignite for the s e c o n tie, d turn the control back to "o". 16 Regulating the Flae Switching OFF Turn the control clockwise to position "o" Operation The burners can be regulated at any level between the highest and lowest flae. Control the flae so that it does not spread out beyond the sides of the pan. As the outer part of the flae is uch hotter than the centre, the tips of the flaes should stay beneath the pan base. When it is first used for the first tie, it is noral for the b u r n e to r give off odours; this does not pose any risk and does not indicate a alfunction; the sell will be gone over the tie. A few seconds after the burner is switched off, a sound (thud) will be produced. This is not a fault - this eans that the safety device is no longer operating. Keep the burner as clean as possible. If the ignitor are dirty they will not light properly. Clean the periodically using a s a non-wire l l brush. Bear in i n that d the ignitor ust not suffer any serious ipacts. An orange-coloured flae is noral. This is caused by the presence of dust in the atosphere, spilt liquids, etc. The kitchen will becoe hot and huid when this gas appliance is used. You ust therefore ensure that the kitchen is well ventilated: either keeping the natural ventilation apertures open, or install a ventilation syste (cooker hood). If using the appliance intensively for prolonged periods, you ay require additional ventilation (e.g. by opening a window) or ore effective ventilation (e.g. by increasing the hob's ventilation, if possible). A pan which is too sall will be unstable on the pan support. If the pan base diaeter is too large, f l a e can s spread out to the sides and daage or burn the worktop, wall claddings or surrounding units and also parts of the hob. The anufacturer cannot be held liable for this type of daage. Select pans which are suitable for the burner they are to be used on. In general: use larger diaeter pans on the large burners, and saller d i a e t pans e r on the sall burners Pans with thick bases are preferable as these distribute heat ore evenly. With thin bases, there is a danger of food overheating in places. Stir the food frequently. Any heat-resistant pans can be used on a gas burner. 18 Cleaning and Care 产品说明 Cleaning and Care The appliance should be cleaned after each use. Allow the appliance to cool down to a safe teperature before cleaning. To avoid water arks and lie scale deposits, use a soft cloth to dry surfaces that have been cleaned with water. Stubborn soiling should be soaked first. Food which boils over onto the hot hob can cause the burner coponents and the stainless steel surface of the hob to discolour. Reove any soiling iediately. The surfaces of the burner coponents will becoe ore att with tie. This is quite noral and will not affect the operation of the hob. Soiling, particularly salty food or liquid and olive oil, can cause daage if left on the printed surfaces for a long tie. Do not use stainless steel cleaning agents on the printed flae sybols. The gas supply is blocked via interediary valves. If the gas is supplied fro a gas cylinder, check that this is not epty. A gas tap has been left on. There ay be a leak in the gas cylinder coupling. The control knob was not held down for long enough. The grooves on the burner head & body are dirty. Ensure the coponents are correctly positioned. Clean the grooves on the burner head & body. ( depending on odel) Open all interediary valves. Change the gas cylinder. Turn off the gas taps. Check that the coupling is sound. Call your local Rinnai custoer care centre if it is leaking fro the hob. Once the burner is lit, hold the control knob down a few seconds longer. 22 Conversion fro NG to LPG & LPG to NG 目录 Warning! Only a qualified person can convert this appliance.. Reove pan support, burners and knobs fro the hob body.. Reove the stainless steel top plate by using a cross screwdriver. Be careful not to daage the electrode and the therocouple when reoving the steel top plate.. Use the key included to loose the holder at the ventury as shown in picture.. Use type # & # fixed wrench to re o ve the nuts on the copper pipe and the nozzles at the ventury as shown in picture.. Reove all the nozzles fro the ventury and place the correct nozzles back. Make sure the daper plates and the daper springs are properly installed. Use only a wok support supplied or recoended by the anufacturer of the appliance.
