This workshop will provide new techniques to reduce the time and cost of such implementation each year. The workshop presenter will walk through sample cases of how these new cost effective techniques can be applied. In addition, in 2009, the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (COSO) released a new monitoring guide which will greatly enhance the internal control environment for SOX. In the next 2-4 years all major countries are expected to adopt these new principles-based standards. Prior to joining Swenson Advisors, LLP Steve had over 22 years of experience as an Audit Partner with Price Waterhouse LLP, and with McGladrey & Pullen, LLP serving both public and private companies. While at Price Waterhouse, Steve also worked in the New York National Office, where he addressed complex accounting and reporting issues for companies, including ESOPs, software cost capitalization, business combinations, income taxes and leading edge business transactions. Steve worked with various members of the FASB and EITF staffs. At McGladrey & Pullen, LLP he focused on high tech, manufacturing, and real estate companies as well as managed the audit department in San Diego.
