1 For Immediate Release HK Express Announces Updates to Senior Management Team Hong Kong, 17 April 2015 HK Express, Hong Kong s dedicated low-fare airline, today announced updates to its senior management team. With immediate effect, Andrew Cowen has been promoted from Deputy Chief Executive Officer to the airline s Chief Executive Officer. Former CEO Kalid Razack has moved to the new role of Vice Executive Chairman and Executive Director. These changes aim to further strengthen the HK Express leadership team in line with continuing major expansion plans. Andrew Cowen joined HK Express in 2013, and has successfully managed the airline s transformation into Hong Kong s one and only low-fare airline. With a career spanning more than 25 years in the aviation industry, and strong experience in the low-cost carrier (LCC) sector, Cowen has built up an enviable track record in strategy and leadership. Cowen s new role will see him taking overall responsibility for all HK Express operations and managing the airline s strategic development plans. As HK Express Vice Executive Chairman and Executive Director, former CEO Kalid Razack will chair a new Board-level committee overseeing quality, safety and security standards and ensuring ongoing compliance with the standards of the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department. Razack is a veteran of the Hong Kong aviation industry, having served in various key positions within Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department and Hong Kong International Airport. In addition, Jack Zhou is newly appointed to the position of Chief Financial Officer. Zhou s role is to continue to build company profitability, achieve sustained cost reduction and capital discipline, and maintain the airline s strong financial position. Zhou brings to HK Express extensive executive leadership experience in finance and operational roles. Prior to joining HK Express, he was the Board Director and Chief Financial Officer of aircraft engineering firm mytechnic in Turkey. As a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Zhou is a Chartered Certified Accountant and holds a Master degree in Investments from the University of Birmingham, UK. HK Express is currently on the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) registry until 23 June 2016.
