3 1. TMS Introduction Welcome to the Shanghai American School (SAS) Transportation Management System (TMS). The TMS allows users to obtain real-time and historical data pertaining to their child's ridership on SAS buses. Users can search for the location of the bus in real-time, review historical data from the past week, as well as receive up-to-date communications from the SAS Transportation Office. All the data collected is done so with the student s identification card being scanned when he or she gets on and off of the bus. The functions of the different roles related to the TMS are listed below: Student Parents Transportation Office Scans his or her ID card when he or she gets "on" and "off" the bus. Review and search for bus information Monitor real-time bus Monitor all bus activity Review and analyze bus operating data location Send messages and Review child's bus notifications to the SAS riding history parent users Receive messages from SAS Transportation Office 2. TMS Installation The TMS can be accessed in two ways, the web-based portal and/or the smartphone App. Details for both systems have been included below: Web-Based Portal 3 / 51

4 Using a PC or MAC, TMS users may access the web-based portal using internet browsers such as: IE, Firefox, Chrome or Safari and log into the system at the following URL: Smartphone App For mobile devices, TMS users will need to install the appropriate App for either an Android or IOS device. For Android devices, TMS users should scan the following QR code to download and install the App. Pic. 1 QR Code for Android App For IOS devices, TMS users should search for the name "SAS TMS" in the Apple App Store, and then download and install. 3. TMS Smartphone App Introduction 3.1 Login Page From the login page, TMS users will need to enter the same account and password used for PowerSchool.

6 3.2 Monitoring Page This feature allows you to view, in real-time, the location of your child s bus. If your child is not on the bus, the TMS will show the location of the latest scan of their card that day. Once your child has gotten "on" or "off" the bus you can check this status from the history page. Green arrow indicates that your child gotten on the bus and scanned their ID card. Clicking here will allow you to look at the map. If no green arrow is present, it is an indication that your child has not gotten on the bus or has gotten off the bus. You will not be able to click this section. 9 3.3 History Page The history page allows you to review the recorded data for your child for the past seven days. 3.5 Settings Page On the settings page, you can view your child's information, turn on and off the messaging function, check and update the software version and change the system default language

17 4. TMS Web Portal Introduction 4.1 Web Portal Login Page There are two options for you to log into the web portal: Option 1 - You can login through PowerSchool. To do this click on the TMS link on home page and then log into the TMS. Option 2 - Open your web browser and input the URL: Then input your account, password and click the "login" button. 18 4.2 Web Portal Home Page After you login you will be taken to the home page. Please note that the default language for the home page is English. You can change the language by selecting the change language option in the settings menu located in the upper right hand corner of the home page. The home page will display all of the student(s) information including: Student name Student ID number Student photo Student bus number Compound name Regular pick-up time From this page you can also access the monitoring, history and messages screen by selecting the appropriate tab for the area you would like to review. In addition, you can also change the language preference and logout of the TMS by accessing the drop down menu in the upper right corner of the screen. 18 / 51

If your child is not on the bus, it will show the location of the latest swiping of their ID card. Once your child or children have got "on" or "off" the bus you can check this status from the history page. 19 / 51

4.4 History Tab Under the History tab you can search and review all student ID card swipe history data for your child. You have the option to select the desired date range for your search.

24 5. SAS TMS Q&A 1. Why can t I see my child s location in the monitoring section when they should be on the bus? The case might be that your child did not get on the bus this day, or for some reason might not have been checked in when they boarded. Please be sure to remind your child to scan their ID card each time they get on and off the bus. 2. Why am I still able to monitor the bus information after my child has gotten off the bus? It is possible that your child was not scanned off the bus when he arrived home, so the system still thinks he is on the bus. Please be sure to remind your child to scan each time they get on and off the bus. 3. Why does the TMS system display a different bus number than my child s regular bus? The TMS system displays real-time ridership information. This means that your child may be riding a different bus than his regular bus. Please check with your child, or contact the Transportation Office if believe there is something wrong. 6. 28 1. 系统简介欢迎使用上海美国学校交通管理系统 (SAS.TMS) 上海美国学校交通管理系统通过学生上下车时刷卡, 使家长可以在电脑网页和手机软件查看孩子所乘校车的线路号巴士妈妈信息班车实时位置等, 系统提供上周刷卡历史数据查询, 并可以接收校车管理中心发送的通知和消息 SAS TMS 系统中学生家长和校车管理中心对应的主要功能如下表所示 : 学生家长校车管理中心上下车刷卡查看学生乘车信息监控实时乘车信息查询上周学生刷卡数据监控所有车辆分析车辆运营数据发送通知和消息接收通知和消息 2. 系统网页版和手机软件使用及安装家长可以通过以下两种方式使用 SAS TMS 系统 1) 在电脑上通过浏览器访问在电脑上, 打开浏览器 (IE,Firefox,chrome 或者 Safari), 在地址栏中输入 SAS TMS 的网址即可打开系统 2) 在移动设备上安装软件安卓手机 : 用任意一款二维码扫描软件扫描如下的二维码, 下载并安装 SAS TMS APP for android 图 1 扫描该二维码下载 TMS APP for Android 28 / 51

42 4. 系统电脑网页版使用说明 4.1 登录电脑网页您可以通过两种途径登录到本网站 : 登录到 Power School, 点击主页上的链接, 跳转到本网站, 此方法将会省去 SAS.TMS 登录操作在电脑浏览器中输入网址, 展示如下页面, 输入 Power school 账号密码, 即可登录本网站输入账号 ( 与 Power School 账号一致 ) 输入登录密码 ( 与 Power School 账号一致 ) 点击登录按钮进行登录图 15 电脑网页登录页面扫描二维码下载安装安卓和件 42 / 51

50 5. 系统使用问与答 1 为什么上学放学的时间监控不到学生乘坐车辆的信息? 出现以上情况有两种可能 : 一学生没有上车 ; 二学生上车后没有刷卡为避免不能查看孩子的监控信息, 请提醒您的孩子上下车自觉刷卡 2 为什么学生已下车还能监控到学生乘坐车辆的信息? 出现以上情况的原因可能是学生下车时没有进行刷卡, 导致系统认为学生还未下车, 持续提供监控服务, 请提醒您的孩子每次上下车都要刷卡 3 为什么监控时车辆号码和学生平时回家乘坐的车辆线路号码不同? 系统显示的是学生实时刷卡的记录, 也就意味着学生搭乘了其他车辆, 如您对此有任何疑问请及时与孩子和美校交通管理中心取得联系 50 / 51
