7 The Study about the Development of Children s Drama in Taiwan ( ) Hui-Ya Chuang Abstract The study aimed to probe the development of the history of Children s Drama in Taiwan from A. D to In Taiwan, it spent almost 50 years to develop Children s Literature, and Children s Drama has been gradually played an important role in this field. Thus, there wasn t any more complete and all-round study which about the development of Children s Drama s history till now. Therefore, the writer tried to confer the processing of Children s Drama s development and hoped that this study could establish an overall history of Children s Drama s development, and could examine the situation of the development of Children s Drama in Taiwan from 1945 to Besides, the writer looked forward to lead the research workers who are interested in this field to comprehend the blueprint of the processing of Children s Drama, and hoped that this study could become a significant reference material for the research workers in the future. The study arranged in the order accordance with time, and divided the history of the development of Children s drama into four stages. And, the writer described the phenomenon of each stage. There are seven chapters. The first chapter is Introduction which was explained the motif of study, purpose of study, value of study, and structure of study. The second chapter is the Construction and Stages of Children s Drama. In this chapter, the writer aimed to probe the meaning of Children s Drama and to interpret the basis of the establish of the history

8 of Children s Drama. The third chapter is Children s Dram in Taiwan after the word war. The writer summarized the development of Children s Drama from A.D 1945 to 1960, and conferred the origin and development of Children s Drama, and the causes which affected Children s Drama in this stage. The forth chapter is the Reclamation of Children s Drama. The writer summarized the processing of Children s Drama from A.D 1961 to 1980 it aimed to pay attention to Man-Gui Li come to Taiwan, and conferred the moving situation of Children s Dram at that time. The fifth chapter is the Beginning Blooming of Children s Drama. The writer summarized the processing of Children s Drama from A.D 1981 to The writer probed the relationship between Children s Drama and the prosperity of Children s theatrical companies The sixth chapter is the Many-sided Development of Children s Drama. It summarized the processing of Children s Drama from A.D 1991 to The writer conferred that the relationship between Children s Drama and the interflow of Children s Drama, the prizes, and 9-year Joint Curicula Plan. The seventh chapter is Conclusion. The writer marshaled the history of the development of Children s Drama and brought out the available developing ways of Children s Drama to consult for the research workers.
