Visa Requirement Airport Pick-up Insurance Exchange students do not need to take any Korean language proficiency test before entering Inha University. However, they are recommended to take Korean Language Courses at Inha. Foreign students seeking study in Korea should have a student visa(d-2) which can be obtained in the nearest Korean Embassy or Consulate. When applying for visa, students are required to submit Certificate of Admission which will be officially issued by Inha University All foreigner, who wishes to stay in Korea more than 90 days, should be registered and issued an Alien Registration Card at the Immigration Office in Korea. for details. We will arrange free shuttle buses on the 22 nd and 23 rd of February (two times per day). Fixed schedule of the shuttles will be notified as soon as it is determined. Students who cannot take the free shuttles can directly apply for airport pick-up service online at The fee is about USD 75 and this is subject to change without prior notice. Health(Injury/Sickness) Insurance is mandatory for international students attending INHA University. International students should purchase an insurance in home country and upload the Alternative Health Insurance Approval Request Form and the Copy of Insurance Policy in the application system (in JPG format). 2

5 Accommodation Application for on-campus housing should be made when submitting the admission application materials and payment can be made in cash upon arrival. Academic Information Academic Schedule Courses for Exchange Students Dormitory fees (Spring 2016) : approx. USD 700 Fee for preparation week and fee for semester should be paid separately. One semester runs for 16 weeks, and approximate costs of USD 350 are needed for each winter/summer break additionally. Dormitory fees will be subject to change each semester. Exchange students will be guaranteed on-campus housing at their own expenses. Off-Campus Housing (Around Inha University) - Rent on average : appox. USD 400 ~ Deposit on average : approx. USD 3,000 ~ 5, Spring Semester Classes: February 29 ~ June 17 (16 weeks) Summer Vacation: June 20 ~ August 31 Exchange students are NOT allowed to take Summer/Winter sessions. Incoming exchange students are free to choose courses regardless of their study fields after consultation with academic advisors at home university. for details. Click Course Schedule on Curriculum on the left side menu. Once you click it, a pop up screen shows up. 3. Select foreign language on the etc bar on the newly pop up window Please check the Note column on the course table to see the instruction language. Do not use the Department/Major bar. 6 Korean language courses are offered for exchange students. - Undergraduate: Basic/ Intermediate Korean(3 credit, respectively) Average Courseload per Semester Grading System Tuition Fees Estimated Living Expenses per Month Graduate Student can only audit Korean Language Class only upon lecturer s approval. Note that credit with transcripts CANNOT BE ISSUED for Korean Course. Undergraduate: 3 ~ 18/19 credits Graduate: 3~9 credits Most classes at Inha are given three hours per week, which means that they are designed as three-credit courses. One credit hour equals 16 class hours with the exception of experimental courses being 32 hours.
